| 1. DC Universe: The Stories of Alan Moore |
|
By: Alan Moore Publisher: DC Comics January 04, 2006
If you didn't read Moore or if you ARE a fan, get this. You will get Killing Joke, Superman: Whatever Happened to Man of Tommorow and MORE MOORE!
I am Swamp Thing fan and that is best one Moore wrote in my opinion. I am not such a superhero fan nowadays, but this is good book, with many short stories that are real good!... more

| 2. Lost Girls Hardcover Edition |
|
By: Alan Moore, Melinda Gebbie Publisher: Top Shelf Productions June 30, 2009
A different take on the traditional stories of Alice, Dorothy and Wendy, although the sexual nature of the book is not for the under-aged or those of prudish minds. I really liked some of the major illustrations throughout the story that showed the parallel of the original story and Moore's version. An interesting (and titillating!) read... more

|
By: George Khoury, Alan Moore Publisher: TwoMorrows Publishing December 19, 2008
The Extraordinary Works of Alan Moore: Indispensable Edition is George Khoury's revamp of a book published years before called, simply, The Extraordinary Works of Alan Moore. For those of you who are new to the book itself, I'll taLk about it first. For those who want to know exactly what is different between the two publications, skip the first half of this review. TEWAM and TEWAMI are the absolutely... more

| 5. Voice of the Fire |
|
By: Alan Moore Publisher: Top Shelf Productions July 15, 2009
I just finished this last night - what an intellectual workout. I don't recall feeling this spent upon completing a novel since I read Moby-Dick (Dover Giant Thrift Editions), and that was almost twenty years ago. If you're coming to this thinking, "I'm in the mood for a little light reading - I think I'll try the novel by that comic book guy," you've come to the wrong place.

| 6. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Vol. 1 |
|
By: Alan Moore Publisher: America's Best Comics October 01, 2002
League of Extroadinary Gentlemen, although not my favorite, was good old Alan Moore fun. I rank it below Watchmen, but definately above V for Vendetta. It has great pacing and dialogue, which kept me reading through all the unfamiliarities. I haven't been a big fan of victorian novels, but I managed to "get into it" for this read. After watching the film and then reading the comic, I have to say... more

| 7. Alan Moore's Writing For Comics Volume 1 |
|
By: Alan Moore, Jacen Burrows Publisher: Avatar Press June 24, 2003
This is probably the most honest piece of writing I've ever read. in this thin but precious book Alan Moore writes about almost everything in order to wake up your mind, tips, anecdotes, his procedures, not so extensive but so damn clear, that's the first part (written many years ago, when Mr. Moore was in his starting years, but already an outstanding writer)
the second part was written... more

| 8. Saga of the Swamp Thing: Volume 1 |
|
By: Alan Moore Publisher: DC Comics, Inc. February 23, 1998
I can't get enough of Moore. I imagine one day I'll find a work of his that isn't spectacular; this is not that work. The Saga of the Swamp Thing is thematically strong, with discussions of the creatures consciousness and the almost political position of plants and their fleshy counterparts. ... more

| 9. Batman: The Killing Joke |
|
By: Alan Moore, Brian Bolland By: Brian Bolland Publisher: DC Comics March 19, 2008
This comic book has many, many great features. To begin, it has an excellent writer and illustrator. Moore's probing dialogue is enhanced by a dark, morally ambiguous world of illustrations. Furthermore, this story is incredibly simple. It features several usual characters posed in unique positions that criticize their more traditional mythology. The 'book' is less than 50 pages--less than an hour... more

| 10. V for Vendetta |
|
By: Alan Moore Publisher: Vertigo October 24, 2008
No he doesn't have sex with the girl. It's another type of romance that this masterpiece is. It is not only a great story, but also a well drawn piece of art. I would suggest this to any Alan Moore fan and anarchist. Though it is funny that Guy Fawkes was chosen considering that the general opinion of Guy Fawkes in Britain is not a friendly one... more
