The product itself is great for my two kids (5 years and 3 years), but for some reason it would not install initially on a standard Windows XP professional platform. Found the following site that explained how to update the .ini setup file and it worked...but it took a 10 minute activity into an hour and I never expect to touch the setup files when purchasing packaged software.

I purchased Jump Start Preschool several years ago for my grandchildren to play when they come to visit and recently added Jump Start Kindergarten to the collection. They love them both. Jump start has many great learning game software. I also get my kids reader rabbit games. My kids enjoy both. Jumpstart is challenging and fun. Cluefinders puts out a great product. We bought the Cluefinders 4th grade adventures,Puzzle of the Pyramids. My 9 yr old daughter was hooked from the start and did not want to stop playing and learning.As long as the rest of the Cluefinders learning games are like this one. I wish I could give this zero stars. Aside from containing some errors, it is full of activities that will dull your child's mind. Just a couple of examples:
* The "art" section (sounds cool, eh?) contains pre-drawn pictures that you can scribble on with a pencil, or fill in regions with a paint bucket. Nothing else. This is a waste of money for anyone who already has Microsoft Paint... more

My daughter loves the 3rd grade and 4th grade disks, and begged for this one.
She has spent a lot of time playing with this game, so I'm glad that we bought it, but of the Jump Start nth grade series, it is by far the weakest.
