By: Pearl Jam November 16, 2004
This is a pretty good compilation of songs for the casual Pearl Jam fan. This two CD set contains more than their big hits that people have heard on the radio. However, hardcore fans (such as myself) will probably have all of these songs anyway. If you are anything like me, you already have all of their albums and have probably created your own personal "Best of" compilation. So if you just kind of... more

|
By: Tool October 01, 1996
I consider Aenima to be Tool's best album and probably one of the best albums of all time (sorry Kanye, but Boyounce cannot hold a candle anywhere near the same universe as this album). This was the last of Tool's darker albums and is a perfect mix of their earlier "metal/alternative" work and their later "progressive" work. The band was definitely hitting their stride with this album. more

By: Nirvana September 24, 1991

I bought this cd for a friend as a gift so I knew that it wasn't going to be shipped directly to me. The timing was good. It got to my friend in 2-3 days. He opened it and the cd was great. I highly recommend this band. It's our favorite and we already had the mp3s, we just wanted the physical itself so I was really hoping it would be perfect. The only disappointment I had was that the... more

I can recall the first place I heard Grizzly Bear was in my local CVS. Just browsing, I heard their song "two weeks" and was jerked out of my headspace, said to my husband, "That song is amazing". Thought, too bad I can't find out who they are. Like a week later, heard the song in a car commercial, and was so excited that I had a way to identify it. Since identifying the band, I have repetitively listened... more

By: Radiohead January 01, 2008
I've had the album since the downloadable MP3s, but have been listening to it quite a bit more lately, and for me, it has surprisingly become my favorite and most accessible Radiohead album yet.
Songs like "Reckoner," "House of Cards," and "All I Need," are low-key tunes with Thom Yorke the best at using his vocal chords as a unique and powerful instrument. The latter two being ballads... more
