I only downloaded the viola sonata on iTunes, but I'm quite sure that it is played on a viola rather than violin (see review below). It sounds like a viola, and I checked the low notes in the last variation and they are low Cs (compared them against my viola). The playing is spectacular. I like this piece with orchestra, but it has an entirely different flavor w/ guitar that is very nice.

the only problem was the box which it was envolved. It was not hard enougth, so , the post office man almost broke it in order to try to fit in my mail box! I was so luky that he didnt broke the CDs inside!
so, I would sudggest that you cold put it inside another hard box, so then its impossible to broke it!
