I'll leave it to others to praise the acting, the accuracy, etc. For me one of the best things about this DVD is the quality of the transfer. With Blu-ray, there are times I can actually see the grain of the film! Every shot reminds us that WWII, and the world, existed in glorious color, not grainy black-and-white. Blue skies, white snow, mud and muck, all show up vibrantly. I'd buy this DVD... more

Midway is a well done movie with a star filled cast. This movie was made with the support of the U.S. Navy and has actual war footage wherever possible. As to the war and its time line the movie is accurate and the actors portrayed their characters very well.
