| 1. Element: Pilates Weight Loss for Beginners |
|
Starring: Brooke Siler Directed By: Andrea Ambandos September 09, 2008
Great DVD. No nonesense, just gets right into it. Before you know it you've done 50 mins, you're sweating bullets and your legs are so wobbly you can't walk. Anyone who has not tried pilates must try this DVD first. Such a great way to excercise!... more

| 2. 10 Minute Solution: Prenatal Pilates |
|
Starring: Lizbeth Garcia August 07, 2007
I haven't had this DVD long enough to see results but I feel them each time I do a segment. I love each 10 minute workout. Each one is perfect for what it says it is going to be working and even though it's only 10 minutes, you still feel like you actually get a workout. I also like that I can customize the workouts so I can do exactly what I want for the amount of time I have. It's true that there... more

| 3. Leslie Sansone: Walk at Home - 3 Mile Slim & Sleek Walk Plus Pilates |
|
Starring: Leslie Sansone December 01, 2009
During the walk, Leslie explains some of the terms used in Pilates, and places emphasis on the abs during the workout. Otherwise, it is much like most of her workouts - while excellent, not much new. And don't expect much in the way of learning proper technique in the floor workouts - while they are Pilates figures, she does not teach proper technique. If Pilates interests you, I would recommend finding... more

| 4. Exhale: Core Fusion - Pilates Plus |
|
Starring: Fred DeVito, Elisabeth Halfpapp Directed By: James Wvinner December 02, 2008
Let me start out by saying that although I own a few workout dvds I rarely give them a second look. I buy, try it once and end up donating it to salvation army or something. I dont ever feel motivated to workout at home but I'm too cheap to commit to a gym membership but once I saw these DVD's and read the reviews and watched clips on youtube I figured it was worth it. I am a 5 foot tall female who... more

| 5. 10 Minute Solution: Rapid Results Pilates |
|
Starring: Lara Hudson September 05, 2006
As a first time pilates user, I felt this video was completely doable, with parts that are attainable when I become more proficient in my pilates exercises. Definitely feel the burn without the stress of moving too fast. Nice stretch at the end and the instructor is calm and not annoying. Also like that I can pick and choose my 10 minute work outs... more

| 6. Crunch - Super SlimDown: Pilates Yoga Blend |
|
Starring: Ellen Barrett February 07, 2006
I love this program and have done it several dozen times over the last couple of years. I find it especially beneficial when I have been spending too long at the computer (an occupational hazard), and my body is all tensed up. It stretches all parts of the body, but I find it exceptionally good for releasing tension in the shoulders and upper back, which don't get targeted as well in other workouts... more

| 7. Weight Loss Pilates |
|
Starring: Kristin McGee December 02, 2008
This is a great workout! There are a couple workouts to do and I alternate between them. I've always enjoyed pilates and find it to be a very effective workout for me. The instructor is good and isn't overly cheery and annoying. Some of the exercises are challenging but the more you do it the easier it gets. I've been doing pilates for awhile so I was familiar with a lot of the exercises. ... more

Starring: 10 Minute Solution Directed By: n/a May 06, 2008
I ordered this video online after redaing some of the reviews and was a beginner but I figured I'd gve it a shot!
The first segment I did was the 10 mintue Abs workout and let me tell you, my abs were quivering and shaking from minute one! After the 10 minutes of wailing on my abs I just wanted to lay on the floor and strech! The next day, my stomach was SORE and I don't... more

| 10. Pilates Workout for Dummies |
|
Starring: Michelle Dozois Directed By: Andrea Ambandos October 23, 2001
I have never done pilates. Doctors recommended that I do them to strengthen my core muscles and help prevent back problems to which I am prone. I do not do well as a "joiner" ie. attending exercise classes etc. I would rather work out at home when I find the time and not have to drive to a facility etc. These exercises are great, easy to do (I am 68) and enjoyable. Would highly recommend!... more
