| 1. Sukiyaki Western Django [Blu-ray] |
| Starring: Kaori Momoi, Koichi Sato, Quentin Tarantino, Takaaki Ishibashi, Teruyuki Kagawa Directed By: Takashi Miike November 11, 2008
Features:- Famed Japanese director Takashi Miike, best known for the cultics Audition, Ichi the Killer and The City of Lost Souls, redefines the spaghetti western in his English language masterpiece SUKIYAKI WESTERN DJANGO. A tale of two clans written in blood: the white Genjis, led by Yosh*tsune, and the red Heikes, led by Kiyomori. As they battle for a legendary treasure hidden in a desolate mountain, a lo
I have seen and enjoyed the original Django. From the trailers this movie looked like it would be fun at the very least. I was sadly wrong and couldn't wait for it to be over. I didn't care for any of the characters and it was so slow moving with pointless scenes. The "payoff" at the end wasn't even interesting because I was fighting off the sleep from the first 2/3 of the movie. Skip this one and... more

One of the few oddball Henry Fonda classics. No redeeming quality whatsoever. Simple, funny, western classic. I love it... more

| | 5. A Fistful of Dollars |
| Starring: Clint Eastwood, Gian Maria Volonté, Marianne Koch, Wolfgang Lukschy, Sieghardt Rupp Directed By: Monte Hellman, Sergio Leone October 05, 1999
Clint Eastwood dedicated his Oscar-winning "Unforgiven" to "Sergio and Don" - Sergio Leone and Don Siegel - and that film makes a perfect wrap to the genre of "man with no name" westerns. "Fistful of Dollars" marks the beginning of Eastwood's tutelage under Leone, and we can extrapolate that he learned well.
"Dollars" represents several other firsts - the first "spaghetti" western, filmed... more

| Starring: Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach, Lee Van Cleef, Aldo Giuffrè, Luigi Pistilli Directed By: Sergio Leone June 05, 2007
Good western but it does stretch credibility to breaking point especially in the civil war scenes. The best of the spaghetti trilogy in my opinion is For A Few Dollars More mainly due to the strong performance by Lee Van Cleef. This transfer to blue ray is OK but doesn't have any Wow factor.

I had waited a long time to have this movie, along with "For a Fistful of Dollars" and "The good, the bad and the ugly", and fortunately enough I had access to this version of the movie. Great DVD, and the only things in this version that feel a bit cheap are the lack of an informative booklet, and some more bonus features, which in this DVD are limited to the theatrical trailer only. Maybe other versions... more

I ordered this DVD since I loved the Trinity movies. The picture was horrible. It was as if Fellini was on acid. The dubbing was terrible and the story was uniteresting. I would not recommend this movie to anyone. ... more
