| 1. True Grit (Special Collector's Edition) |
| Starring: John Wayne, Kim Darby, Glen Campbell, Jeremy Slate, Robert Duvall Directed By: Henry Hathaway May 22, 2007
My goodness. Kim Darby is more annoying than nine inch nails on a blackboard and Glen Campbell couldn't act his way out of a phone booth; plus as an Oklahoma native I can assure you the eastern side of the state adjacent to Fort Smith, Arkansas, does not have snow-capped mountains. But File-13 all of the above; TRUE GRIT is flat out fun because of an uninhibited, laid-back Duke; this movie is John... more

| | 2. Three Amigos |
| Starring: Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Martin Short, Jr. Jorge Cervera, Candy Castillo April 28, 2009
Non-anamorphic widescreen that doesn't fit the standard widescreen TV, poor digitization resulting in pixel chunking when people move -- what an embarrassing product for Warner and HBO to release. Fix it already.
This is a great movie, but the VHS tape looks smoother than this terrible DVD... more

| | 3. Blazing Saddles [Blu-ray] |
| Starring: Cleavon Little, Gene Wilder, Slim Pickens, Harvey Korman, Madeline Kahn Directed By: Mel Brooks September 05, 2006
Features:- The railroad's got to run through the town of Rock Ridge. How do you drive out the townfolk in order to steal their land? Send in the toughest gang you've got.and name a new sheriff who'll last about 24 hours. But that's not really the plot of Blazing Saddles, just the pretext. Once Mel Brooks' lunatic film many call his best gets started, logic is lost in a blizzard of gags, jokes, quips, puns, h
I've seen a few Mel Brooks movies, so I'm a bit familiar with his style. It's always silly, but in a way that works. Blazing Saddles is no exception. It's about as funny as Robin Hood Men in Tights, which is a good thing, but it's really nasty in a lot of places, especially with regards to racism. Still, Blazing Saddles probably does paint an accurate picture of how harsh racism was back in the... more

| | 6. Rio Bravo (Two-Disc Special Edition) |
| Starring: John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, Angie Dickinson May 22, 2007
Features:- John Wayne stars as the sheriff of a small western town who arrests a murderer and then must contend with the aggressive efforts of the killer's brother to free him before the state marshall arrives. Surrounding the town, the villains make repeated runs at the tiny jailhouse where their comrade is incarcerated. The sheriff is left to defend the territory almost single-handedly -- his only aid
A mythic film that does not really deserve it. It is the simple situation of the good-for-nothing brother of an important rancher in Texas. This brother kills someone out of spite and drunkenness and he is put in goal. His rich rancher of a brother sends his troops to get him out. That's the story of the siege of the prison, and the city, and how they are all going to be killed, on the bad guys' side... more

| | 8. The Villain |
| Starring: Kirk Douglas, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ann-Margret, Paul Lynde, Foster Brooks Directed By: Hal Needham May 21, 2002
As the Wikipedia description says with 100% accuracy, The Villain is a loony toons cartoon brought to life with Kirk Douglas laying elaborate diabolical plans that back-fire a la Wiley Coyote. (The loony toons theme music even plays at the end of the film.) Schwarzenegger plays the naive and inexperienced do-gooder that he was to reprise later in Twins, and Ann-Margaret plays a seductress. All parties... more

| Starring: Judi Dench, Cuba Gooding Jr., Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Tilly, Randy Quaid Directed By: John Sanford, Will Finn September 14, 2004
I love this movie! The kids love this movie! It's our new favorite, whereas Finding Nemo, and Toy Story fell flat, especially with the kids. Personally I'm tired of new kid's movies in which everyone yells all of the time. In this movie the characters are fun, their interaction is fun, even the chase scene is fun. The horse is great, with wonderful voice-acting...and that brings me to the cows... more
