Starring: Liam Neeson, Frances McDormand, Colin Friels, Larry Drake Directed By: Sam Raimi August 07, 2007
Parts two and three not so great. Three was primarily a vehicle for Fahey and the drama was somewhat forced.

Starring: Liam Neeson, Frances McDormand, Colin Friels, Larry Drake, Nelson Mash*ta Directed By: Sam Raimi March 31, 1998
Liam Neeson's voice is beautiful and sad in this movie. And Bruce Campbell is so young and his most beautiful such that the audience collectively sighed when he appeared on the screen. The reputation of this franchise would have been better if both of these actors had been retained for the sequel. This highly wrought movie made me look forward to more from Sam Raimi and the actors. ... more

| 4. Darkman 2 - The Return of Durant |
|
Starring: Larry Drake, Arnold Vosloo, Kim Delaney, Renée O'Connor, Lawrence Dane Directed By: Bradford May January 05, 1999
Considering this is a direct-to-video sequel to a hit film missing it's star, the film is very good. It manages to capture the look and feel of the first film better than you'd expect. Not 100% mind you, but the title sequence and the flashes of Darkman's rage and the music are duplicated perfectly. This no doubt has to do with Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert being on board as executive producers. ... more

| 5. Darkman III - Die Darkman Die |
|
Starring: Jeff Fahey, Arnold Vosloo, Darlanne Fluegel, Roxann Dawson, Nigel Bennett Directed By: Bradford May December 28, 2004
Aw hell, since I reviewed the other two, why not part 3, eh? Continuing in pretty much the same style as part 2, Darkman 3 gives us a new villain in the form of Jeff Fahey. Fahey's into marketing steroids and he's a lousy husband and father. Darkman's on hand to throw a wrench in his steroid operation. But when Fahey captures Darkman(thus screwing him once again right when he's on the verge of... more

Sam Raimi's a genius, and Darkman, in my opinion, is his finest hour. This is high-caliber dark humor, outrageously crazy fun, seriously fine craftsmanship, and one of a few works that exists in a genre all its own.Darkman is one of the few, truly unique characters you're ever going to find in any media, whether that be movies, books, comics, or cartoons. He's part Batman in his quest to fight crime... more
