As a bedtime story, this children's book is universally loved for it's sheer simplicity. A perfect read to your baby book and they'll soon be reading for themselves. Colorful illustrations and easy to read words have made this a classic for years. A timeless book with broad appeal.

The one thing I really loved about this book was the author's writing style. I enjoyed her flow of writing, and her little punches of poetic inspirations. I thought her use of changing between Sam and Grace's point of views fit the book very well, although sometimes I found myself confused and had to remind myself who was speaking. Anyways, all together I feel like this book is very well rounded. I... more

I happen to love this book. It isn't because it says anything particularly amazing - I'm just attached to it since we read it for every nap. We got it at Christmas, when my baby was nine months old, and she's since began really looking at every page (which the lap size is nice for, as she can easily see it all). It's easy enough that you can memorize it, which comes in handy for those times when I... more

The illustrations are so lovely. It's a favorite because there are no words--the child (or adult) can supply any story or description they choose, and a lot of creativity emerges, spurred by the drawings... more

Love this story. My son already had Panda Bear Panda Bear, and loved that.. We bought this one, he loves it equally as much. He is 2 and loves the animals at the end of the story, and loves that fact that he can "read" it to us after he learns the animals. Great book, we are going to be buying the others by the this author... more

Each of my babies enjoyed this interactive book, where they got to pet the bunny's soft fur on one page, feel daddy's scratchy face on another, etc. I purchased this book as a gift for a new parent, & it arrived quickly and in excellent condition... more

|
By: James Patterson Publisher: Little, Brown Books for Young Readers July 01, 2008
I rated this a two instead of a one because it's a children's book so I'll cut it some slack. Note that I said children's book, not teen's. In my mind, anyone above 12 should be insulted by how confusing, contrived and unfocused the plot is. This book caused me to drop the series, so I never got around to reading the Final Warning (which, according to reviews, was much worse than this one).more
