| 1. The Lost |
| By: J.D. Robb, Patricia Gaffney, Mary Blayney, Ruth Ryan Langan Publisher: Jove November 24, 2009
The book arrived quickly but the great story by JD Robb would have been worth the wait. I love her work. I could not be more pleased... more

| | 2. Inked |
| By: Karen Chance, Marjorie M. Liu, Yasmine Galenorn, Eileen Wilks Publisher: Berkley January 05, 2010
"Inked" contains 4 novelas, all of which are sequels. The first (Chance's) is a solid 5-star novela. It does not read like a sequel, and the entire book is worth reading just for this one. There is a strong romantic sub-plot between the two main characters, who are dating: a female human action-movie federal agent and her werewolf boyfriend. The main storyline in this alternate present-day universe... more

| | 3. Red Lily (In the Garden, Book 3) |
| By: Nora Roberts Publisher: Jove November 29, 2005
When I bought the In the Garden Trilogy, and started with Blue Dahlia, It took me awhile to get into. Usually when reading Nora the first chapter starts a frenzy of reading for me. But after I got acquainted with all of the characters I really fell in love with it. Blue Dahlia, and Black Rose were great, but my favorite of the series was Red Lily. I love the characters Hayley and Harper, they had... more

| | 4. Shifter |
| By: Angela Knight, Lora Leigh, Alyssa Day, Virginia Kantra Publisher: Berkley March 04, 2008
- Mad Dog Love by Angela Knight Si Fi well written. Good characters and nice plot well paced a definite winner. - A Jaguar's Kiss by Lora Leigh A story from her breeds series and well done. Some of the series seem to drag but this moves nicely. Decent plot although somewhat predictable. The characters as usual are well drawn. - Shifter's Lady by Alyssa Dayg Obviously... more

| | 5. Beyond the Dark |
| By: Lora Leigh, Angela Knight, Emma Holly, Diane Whiteside Publisher: Jove December 01, 2009
Lora Leigh's In a Wolf's Embrace was my favorite. Angela Knight's input was very good. Emma Holly's story was different, but the one by Diane Whiteside left me bored.
Dragon Dance by Angela Knight Hostage negotiator Arial Dean didn't know she was a Potential until touched by a Hyper. That triggered her powers and she became a Hyper as well. Josiah Ridge, another Hyper, suggests... more

| | 6. Suite 606 |
| By: J.D. Robb, Mary Blayney, Ruth Ryan Langan, Mary Kay McComas Publisher: Berkley November 04, 2008
Like many of the reviewers, I was a little underwhelmed with this book.
The Eve Dallas story was a pleasure. The 3 other stories, while not bad, were a little dull and unexciting. While I plowed through the book and did enjoy the little common threads through the stories, I was left feeling unsatisfied.
I admit that I was not familiar with the last three authors of the book... more

| | 9. Mean Streets |
| By: Jim Butcher, Kat Richardson, Simon R. Green, Thomas E. Sniegoski Publisher: Roc January 05, 2010
Like most people, I enjoyed the Dresden story. It's good to see that Michael is at least partially functional.
The Greene story--I wasn't sure if he was making fun of himself, making fun of the cynical private eye genre, or if it was just too much in a short story. There was too much of, "The Nightside is the place for sin, etc., etc." Maybe he does that just as often in the novels... more

| | 10. Hot for the Holidays |
| By: Lora Leigh, Angela Knight, Anya Bast, Allyson James Publisher: Jove September 29, 2009
There is not much mention of the holidays in this book. In fact, Christmas is hated in Angela Knight's story. In the Allyson James story, there is mention of poinsettias and the belief that a ghost train went through the town every Christmas. Yuletide Eve is mentioned in Anya Bast's short story and that's about it. Lora Leigh starts off by describing the town's decorations for Christmas. If this... more
