| 1. Player's Handbook 3: A 4th Edition D&D Core Rulebook |
|
By: Mike Mearls, Rob Heinsoo, Robert J. Schwalb Publisher: Wizards of the Coast March 16, 2010
The Player's Handbook 3 is Wizards of the Coast's latest Dungeons and Dragons player supplement. Like the Player's Handbook 2, it introduces the player to new classes, races, feats, items, and character generation rules. While these rules are well-implemented and generally thoughtful in concept, a few oversights decrease the book's overall quality.
The PH3 adds the long-awaited Psionic... more

| 2. Martial Power 2: A 4th Edition D&D Supplement |
|
By: Richard Baker Publisher: Wizards of the Coast February 16, 2010
This book is another of the never ending expansions of D&D 4th ed. It provides more options for martial powered character classes and some interesting ways to expand your character thru the fighting style feats. My only criticism of this book is that too little of it is devoted to motivations and indeed goals of martial characters. Hopefully another volume will be published dealing more with this aspect... more

| 3. Harrowing Halls - Dungeon Tiles: A D&D Accessory (4th Edition D&D) |
|
From: Wizards of the Coast Publisher: Wizards of the Coast March 16, 2010
The set is pretty nice, and the wooden textures can be useful for some campaigns. Most of the set is composed of wooden rooms (one side with furniture and the other just the wooden floor) and there are some 3D tiles that doesn't fit my gaming needs.
This set would be a lot better if the room tiles were wooden in one side and stone in the other, and some of the 3D tiles (everything but... more

| 4. Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Core Rulebook |
|
By: Jason Bulmahn Publisher: Paizo Publishing, LLC. August 19, 2009
Features:- 576-page full-color hardcover
- Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook
A rehash of old material with several new options that only make things more complex and slower. The amount of errors and contradictions in this rulebook is staggering. Extremely poor proofreading and editing. Is this the most playtested RPG in history? I doubt it considering the poor result. Over half a year after the release of this buggy book, and still there's no decent errata from the publisher... more

| 7. Dungeons and Dragons Core Rulebook Gift Set, 4th Edition |
|
By: Wizards RPG Team Publisher: Wizards of the Coast June 06, 2008
Compared to what could-have-been, a great disappointment. Layout is confusing (terms like 2w appearing before they're explained), artwork is below standard compared to (say) Dragonlance art.
The actual rules are a top-to-bottom redesign of prior work with just enough terminology retained to be confusing (don't expect a "saving throw" to do what it used to do), and much simpler that previously... more

| 8. Dungeons & Dragons Dungeon Master's Screen |
|
From: Wizards of the Coast Publisher: Wizards of the Coast August 19, 2008
The 4th Edition DM screen offers a variety of handy reference tables for the DM's quick reference. The tables are generally ones that are used regularly, particularly the breakdown of the various states combatants may be suffering from. Others, such as the price of a meal, may not be terribly necessary to have visible at all times, but overall the right information is here to accelerate the game pace... more

|
By: R. A. Salvatore Publisher: Wizards of the Coast May 01, 1991
Drizzt Do'Urden is an enigma of his race of Dark Elves. He carries inside him a conscience. Something that none of his people can claim, even his father Zaknafein, but at least he knew the things he did were evil and vile. He hoped that in his son, Drizzt, he could make right his wrongs, and amazingly enough, he did. He instilled in the few short years he had in training him in the art of weaponry... more
