I bought this video for my friend's 60th birthday, since she is a Jeff Bridges fan and he was up for an academy award. Not having her address handy, I had the DVD shipped to myself and then mailed it to her (she lives in California and I'm in Kentucky).

I've seen and re-seen all the seasons of 24 -- and am currently collecting the hours of Day8 (which I really wish was already over so I could watch them back to back!) -- and I think that this may be the best. Even when it's not necessarily my personal favorite, I think that it's objectively the best.
The reason is that it has so much in common with the stock blockbuster disaster... more

I must say that the first season gets off to a bit of a slow start. I have never gone back and watched a series and failed to see kinks needing to be worked out in the actors portrayal of the characters, i.e. Spock's goofy (at times) acting in the pilot episode of Star Trek. What I have noticed as I have revisited the series is that the clumsiness of Duchnovy is just about done after the first episode... more
