| 1. Hachi: A Dog's Tale |
| Starring: Richard Gere, Joan Allen March 09, 2010
I don't think you find a better example of a dog's devotion to his master than this one, a based-on-a-true-life tale of a dog who was into a routine of meeting his beloved male owner every day at 5 p.m. at the train station.
Kudos to Richard Gere for a nice performance. This is definitely not he kind of film he usually does but he explains in a bonus feature, "I read the script, cried... more

| | 4. Robin Hood: Season Three |
| Starring: Jonas Armstrong, Richard Armitage, Keith Allen January 12, 2010
Although it was the weakest of the 3 seasons, losing most of the light-heartedness that made it so lovable, it did provide some interesting plot turns. The finale was pretty good, I loved seeing the "reunion" at the end. It almost made the whole season worth-while ... almost. ... more

| | 5. Dial M for Murder |
| Starring: Ray Milland, Grace Kelly, Joe Alves, Peter Bogdanovich, Richard Franklin Directed By: Alfred Hitchcock, Laurent Bouzereau September 07, 2004
Features:- When American writer Mark Halliday visits the very married Margot Wendice in London, he unknowingly sets off a chain of blackmail and murder. After sensing Margot's affections for Halliday, her husband, Tony Wendice, fears divorce and disinheritance, and plots her death. Knowing former school chum Captain Lesgate is involved in illegal activities, Tony blackmails him into conspiring to kill Margot
I wouldn't put this movie in the top drawer of Hitchcock's output but it's still well worth watching. With the DVD, the extra features are very illuminating and watching the analysis of people like Peter Bogdanovich deepens the viewer's understanding and enjoyment.
The movie is based on a successful play by Frederick Knott, one of those playwrights much celebrated in their own time and... more

I recall seeing this film when it was released in the mid-fifties. I did a search on Amazon and here it is. What a wonderful film, the last from director John Ford.
If you like westerns, this is the one. Beautiful locations. The scenery is something spectacular. I still wonder how they got all of the equipment there to do the filming. There is no electricity in the middle of that country... more

If you like energetic music that grooves, played by musicians who are talented beyond comprehension - then please, by all means, watch this splendid documentary. Simply put, it'll blow you away.
However, as an amateur musician watching this group of incredible recording artists perform, I realized just how untalented and non-musical I really am. Knowing I could never come close to playing... more
