This must be one of Sam Elliot's first movies. It is very poor and I do not recommend it. It is not appropriate for young viewers. Sam Elliot had not yet developed his appealing true-cowboy persona in this film and those who are looking for another "Conagher" will be disappointed. My opinion--don't waste your money... more

This is the first (of very many) Masterpiece Theater productions that I did not like at all. Too many confusing characters who are poorly developed and make brief, strange appearances; endless holes in the plot; overall, not very entertaining.
