| Starring: Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn Directed By: Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton, Adam Nimoy, Alexander Singer, Cliff Bole December 03, 2002
What a terrific season, I think this might be the best season in The Next Generation series, and that's saying a lot, because seasons 3, 4, and 5 are great beyond words, so to say this is the best season is pretty high ranks, of course I haven't seen season 7 yet, but I have it already (i have the whole series), and I except nothing less.
There is so much going for this season, from the... more

While in places it is not exactly Biblical, this (in my opinion) is the best version I have yet seen of this ageless story--no offense to Charlton Hesston fans. I watch this over, and over, and over... more

Very rarely do I find a movie that intrigues me as much as this one. There is a fine cast, wonderful symbolism, beautiful scenery and stark colours. Watching him climb all over the rooftops was very enjoyable. The story has been told before but never with such quirkiness and sweetness. This movie made me laugh too. Hallam reminded me of my own 20 year old son that is constantly going through 'things'... more

| | 9. Oh! What a Lovely War |
| Starring: Wendy Allnutt, Colin Farrell, Malcolm McFee, John Rae, Corin Redgrave Directed By: Richard Attenborough November 07, 2006
This is an amazing multi-layered movie with a stellar cast list. I saw it first when it was in cinemas in Scotland in 1970 and the images have stayed with me ever since. Telling the story of WW I as it impacted one family, using the popular songs of the time and the quoted words of politicians, military commanders and kings is nothing short of brilliant. The main pleasure of having... more

| Starring: Sean Bean, Maria Bello, Sophie Stuckey, Abigail Stone, Maurice Roëves Directed By: John Fawcett April 11, 2006
The Dark (John Fawcett, 2005)
Fawcett (Ginger Snaps) has found most of the work as a TV director, but he does make the occasional feature film, and for the most part, those feature films are ignored by the public and as excellent as you'd expect given that fact. So it seemed to me that Fawcett directing an adaptation of Simon Maginn's stellar novel Sheep was a guaranteed shot out of the... more
