I was so excited to learn that Mistral's Daughter was released on DVD! For years I've remembered watching this movie, (since mid 80's) and hoped to see it again and make it part of my collection. I was not disapointed at all! I do not understand why someone would bring up the Thorn Birds to compare. Why??? That's a great movie too but why bring that up?
