| 1. Emma (2009) |
| Starring: Romola Garai, Jonny Lee Miller, Michael Gambon, Tamsin Greig, Rupert Evans February 09, 2010
The acting, music & dialogue are contemporary while sets, costumes, & props are period perfect. What a delectable NEW rendition of Emma (Jane Austen's classic, of course). It's tempting to review any new Emma adaptation by comparing it to the book or previous films. Instead, let me simply review how WONDERFUL my wife and I found this particular DVD. Almost 4 hours, divided into 4 episodes... more

| | 5. Wonder Pets!: Join the Circus |
| Starring: Sofie Zamchick, Teala Dunn, Danica Lee, Matthew Black, Dawn Evans February 24, 2009
This is a really nice collection of Wonder Pets episodes. They're well-crafted, short and sweet adventures with wonderful songs and REAL music. Our 2 year old son loves watching and singing along. We don't have cable or satellite at our house so we get our Wonder Pets fix by dvd. I especially like the number of different episodes for the price. Our favorite one on this dvd is "Save the Fiddler... more

| Starring: Steven Seagal, Gary Busey, Tommy Lee Jones, Erika Eleniak, Colm Meaney Directed By: Andrew Davis October 31, 2006
Features:- It's not a job. It's an adventure! Steven Seagal comes aboard and comes on strong, combining humor and heroics in a fireball of a movie. The excitement starts when the USS Missouri welcomes aboard musicians and caterers set to provide entertainment during the famed battleship's last voyage. The visitors throw a party, all right. A war party. Led by a rogue CIA operative (JFK's Tommy Lee Jones) and
This review, and the rating that I gave it, is for the transfer to Blu-ray ... not on the movie itself.
For the many fans of Steven Seagal who are thinking about buying this movie, you probably have already seen this movie before and while it's your typical action movie, it still is, and remains, very entertaining. Under Siege was one of Steven Seagal's earlier movies, before he started... more

| | 7. Dinner at Eight |
| Starring: Marie Dressler, John Barrymore, Wallace Beery, Jean Harlow, Lionel Barrymore March 01, 2005
Features:- Dinner at Eight, a vastly entertaining behind-closed-doors glimpse into the lives of the troubled and troublemaking Who's Who of people invited to a posh Manhattan party, is served with ample helpings of humor and melodrama. Buoyed by the success of the studio's multistarred, multistoried Grand Hotel the year before, producer David O. Selznick aspired for something grander - and found it in this G
This is one you want to have for your 1930's movie collection. It has it all: great plot, interesting characters and an all time great cast. Why you can even let the kids / grand kids get exposure to classic film on this one. Great entertainment... more

| | 9. Bonanza: The Official First Season, Vol 1 & 2 |
| Starring: Michael Landon, Lorne Greene, Pernell Roberts, Dan Blocker, Gene Evans Directed By: Arthur Lubin, Charles F. Haas, Christian Nyby, Edward Ludwig, Felix E. Feist September 15, 2009
I have one other DVD set of Bonanza episodes which had early episodes of this popular TV western, and claimed to be the first "official" season of the series. HOWEVER, this MUST BE the OFFICIAL original volumes and the DVD quality is great! I grew up on Bonanza, and so for over 45 years I think I've seen many episodes, and reproductions of episodes of this classic TV series. Plus the very first... more

| Starring: Jessica Biel, Jonathan Tucker, Andrew Bryniarski, Erica Leerhsen, Mike Vogel Directed By: Marcus Nispel, Michelle Palmer March 30, 2004
Out of all the massacre movies this is the only one that is scary and good. The classic was just stupid. This is a better one and it should of been the only one out of all the massacre movies. The rest was just not scary. This one has more Horror to it then the classic. Anyway this is the only good massacre movie the rest is garbage... more
