The 5 star ratings are baffling. Example of the numerous ridiculous moments in the dialogue. The police officer mentions he was able to get a hard core criminal to crack and give information by spending a lot of time with the criminal. He states he held his hand frequently and even kissed the hard core criminal. Then it shows the police officer in the hospital holding the hand of the guy that murdered... more

This movie should be called the best of Clive Barker. This is my favorite movie he has ever done. The thing I like about Barker is he has such a twisted mind "thats a good thing" He can think up the wildest things you can think of. Made in 87' Its a story about a family that moves into a house. But there is a corpse of a man "Frank" that is upstairs and the only way he can stay alive is he needs... more

| | 3. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid [Blu-ray] |
| Starring: Paul Newman, Robert Redford, Katharine Ross, Francisco Cordova, Jeff Corey May 13, 2008
This picture-postcard of a film is meant to be a kind of comic elegy to the Western genre, and, with the iconic charisma of Newman and Redford and William Goldman's pleasingly elemental script, it almost pulls it off. But the most effective part of the film is the second act, in which Butch and Sundance are hounded (literally) to the ends of the earth by a relentless posse that is rather obviously... more

| | 6. The Boys in the Band |
| Starring: Kenneth Nelson, Peter White, Leonard Frey, Frederick Combs, Cliff Gorman Directed By: William Friedkin November 11, 2008
I'm interested in the director Billy Friedkin so much. This film was created just before my favorite one "The French Connection". I had thought that Friedkin was documentary film maker, but this one is correctly based on the famous and unique play. Why did he try this project? That's the reason why I bought this.

| | 7. Bataan |
| Starring: Robert Taylor, George Murphy, Thomas Mitchell, Lloyd Nolan, Lee Bowman May 18, 1999
My father was a world war II combat veteran and this is the type of movie I was brought up on in the 50's. My father, the authentic fighter, considered them garbage. I thought they were great. I think every American under the age of 50 should watch this film to understand what the word "solidarity" means... more

Despite these historic accomplishments, many Americans have never known of Franklin Delano Roosevelt's greatest achievement.until now. Starring Kenneth Branagh (Shakespeare) and Cynthia Nixon(Sex and the Ci
Along with Lincoln, FDR is far and away my favorite president. I love them above all for the
The film has a number of historical inaccuracies. For instance, Roosevelt specified the design of the car he drove and it was not a surprise gift, tough as all biographies recount, he was an atrocious, very fast driver who terrified all who rode with him. The driving was, however, crucial in... more
