| Starring: Robert Urich, Phyllis Davis, Bart Braverman, Tony Curtis, Naomi Stevens Directed By: Curtis Harrington, Don Chaffey, Marc Daniels, Paul Stanley, Phil Bondelli February 09, 2010
This was a great show back in the late 70's & early 80's compared to the trash they show on TV today. I loved watching this show on ABC in prime time, and in syndication later. I gave it a 5 out of 5, because I enjoy shows like this, and rather than watching today's trash, I'll keep ordering these classics to watch. ... more

| | 4. Girl With a Pearl Earring |
| Starring: Scarlett Johansson, Colin Firth, Tom Wilkinson, Judy Parfitt, Cillian Murphy Directed By: Peter Webber May 04, 2004
"Girl with a Pearl Earring" was up for lots of awards, which prompted me to find out what was so special. Indeed, it's a feast for the eyes and ears. Music, costumes, sets and glorious widescreen photography capture so very much of the period. Hyped as about the life of Johannes Vermeer, it's really about Griet (a lovely Scarlett Johanssen) and her role as a servant in Vanmeer's household. In the hands... more

This was Gene Kelly's first movie. And Judy Garland looks good and of course sings good. The title song is a favorite of mine too. It's not in color but the nostalgia of that film is enjoyable to watch. I'm glad that it's finally on DVD... more

| | 8. Impromptu |
| Starring: Judy Davis, Hugh Grant, Mandy Patinkin, Bernadette Peters, Julian Sands Directed By: James Lapine March 19, 2002
Like happened with other prodcuts, I had the unpleasant surprise that, in spite of having a last generation DVD recorder able to read PAL, SECAM, and NTSC, I could not display these movies due to incompatibility with the common systems in Europe. And no warning is indicated in the box, nor a reference to its region ! Amazon should be so kind to introduce in their catalogue an automatic alarm... more

I had this film on an old VHS tape and have enjoyed it many times over the years. It has been on a list I keep of movies I own that I want to upgrade to DVD format, this fall I finally purchased this little gem. The cast and performances on this production are superb.
