I thought this was going to be even better than the BBC version (which I love) it was horrible!!!! I was speechless at the end .. and not in the good way! They left so many parts out and what was most annoying was the literally hated each other and the next minute they were madly in love ( I can only guess due to time constraints?) it was painful to watch. Lots has been made about this rather ridiculous film and its story. I've heard it cited in other films as though it were the Pentateuch.
Well, it STINKS. The performances stink, with the exception of too much Molina, good as he is, and too little Dench, and that is because Dame Judy's character simply doesn't add up to anything. The appearance of Depp is the most stupidly contrived "cameo"... more
