| 1. The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming |
| Starring: Carl Reiner, Eva Marie Saint, Alan Arkin, Brian Keith, Jonathan Winters Directed By: Norman Jewison October 15, 2002
I loved this movie as a kid. I just rewatched it. Unlike DR. STRANGELOVE, this does not stand the test of time. The reason I compare the two films is that they are both set during the Cold War and deal with our paranoia about the Russians as our enemies comedically. DR. STRANGELOVE remains a classic satire whereas this film, despite its talented cast and director (Norman Jewison), comes off dated... more

| | 2. Barbarella: Queen of the Galaxy |
| Starring: Jane Fonda, John Phillip Law, Anita Pallenberg, Milo O'Shea, Marcel Marceau Directed By: Roger Vadim June 22, 1999
Fabulous movie. Old-skool Star Trek has a threesome with the Labyrinth and Conan the Barbarian, while Boris Vallejo only wishes he was there ...and the deliciously badass sex-kitten Barbarella is born. Full-on seventies kitsch, with shag carpet rocket-ship interiors, killer dolls, rockstar costumes, and unabashed Jane Fonda hotness.
And let's not forget the raddest, most titillating... more

| | 3. The Sinbad Collection (7th Voyage / Golden Voyage / Eye of the Tiger) |
| Starring: Patrick Wayne, Jane Seymour, Kerwin Mathews, Kathryn Grant, Richard Eyer Directed By: Gordon Hessler, Nathan Juran, Sam Wanamaker July 11, 2000
I got this as a gift for my partner but as a Harryhausen fan I'm enjoying it too. There were two RH collections and I went with this one because I'm more of a Sinbad fan. Grab a cold drink, some popcorn and sit back on day for a marathon. It's a great way to enjoy a rainy day. My only complaint is it didn't have a tribute or some type of acknowledgement of Ray Harryhausen and all his... more

Boasting a top notch cast, Attack Force Z is a fast-moving, action-packed World War II adventure
Somewhat standard war flick from the time period( see extras on dvd regarding original Director's desire to make anti-war film). That being said, the film was very entertaining, good man-cave flick... more

| | 6. The Golden Voyage of Sinbad |
| Starring: John Phillip Law, Caroline Munro, Tom Baker, Douglas Wilmer, Martin Shaw Directed By: Gordon Hessler June 06, 2000
After the less than stellar box office of VALLEY OF GWANGI, Ray Harryhausen and Charles Schneer return to the saga of Sinbad, this played with some gusto by John Phillip Law. A beautiful damsel Caroline Munro (THE SPY WHO LOVED ME, CAPTAIN KRONOS), an evil wizard played by Tom Baker (tv's 4th DR WHO) with Douglas Wilmer (EL CID, OCTOPUSSY). A quest for Lemuria and a magic fountain, this one features... more

| | 7. CQ |
| Starring: Jeremy Davies, Angela Lindvall, Élodie Bouchez, Gérard Depardieu, Giancarlo Giannini Directed By: Roman Coppola September 10, 2002
Inspired by both Goddard (French New Wave) and British 60's Spy films, this film is a film within a film. At times, kind of like Austin Powers, without the humor. Interesting to view, but lacking in emotional content... more

| | 9. The Cassandra Crossing |
| Starring: Sophia Loren, Richard Harris, Martin Sheen, O.J. Simpson, Lionel Stander Directed By: George P. Cosmatos April 23, 2002
Getting a train out of Switzerland into France, Germany, and Poland, non-stop, under American orders(in 1977), with no border customs or immigration, no conductors who mention tickets or passports, and orders to shoot to kill those who won't stay on the train? Routing from Geneva via Basel and Paris(???)to Stockholm? Utter nonsense. The plot makes no more sense. The cast is feeble and... more
