| | 7. Angelic Layer - The Complete Collection |
| Starring: Kotono Mitsuishi, Yuri Shiratori, Jun Fukuyama, Ayako Kawasumi, A. Jacob Gragard September 27, 2005
Let me start by saying I haven't read the Manga so this review is based only on the video.
I purchased this anime because of the lack of selection on the shelves in the stores. I had expected the series to be a fighting series like Voltron where there really is no story.
Delightfully, this is not the case. Yes, the series is about fighting more and more difficult opponents... more

Format: DVD MOVIE Genre: ANIMATION Rating: PG
I found this series set on a whim and for the price thought why not give it a try, and I'm amazed at how good the series truly turned out to be. Many reviewers have compared this with the game, an while I myself have never played the game the anime series stands well on its own. The characters are very likable from James Links( A former Earth military officer who after hearing of his wife's apparent... more

I have been hooked on this anime since the very first episode. Hell, before that! The trailer had me mesmerized! Never before has an anime enthralled me as much as Claymore. The storyline keeps me guessing and on edge, I feel what the characters feel (I've even shed a tear or two!). I cringe and gasp during the fight scenes and I mourned the death of other Claymores. ... more

| | 10. Steel Angel Kurumi - Angel on My Shoulder (Vol. 1) |
| Starring: Jason Douglas, Kelli Cousins, Atsuko Enomoto, Monica Rial, Rie Tanaka Directed By: Naohito Takahashi May 21, 2002
A cute anime about a boy and his robot. Cute and funny series, but the first disc has some growing pains. Kurumi is endearing, but very pushy and this makes her grating at first. She gets better throughout the series, but when she first awakens she's very whiny. The series gets a little better when Saki comes along and creates a love triangle (with Kurumi in the middle rather than Nakahito). I'm... more
