This is one of those movies I first saw as a child with my grandmother. I absolutely loved it then, and even more as an adult! Yes, the children are whiney and it is not perfectly realistic, but it is a great family movie that gives everyone the warm fuzzy feeling! Very true to it's time and a classic!... more

Danny Kaye in one of his less hectic roles. Based on the life of Red Nichols a band leader from the 30's and 40's. I don't know how much of the story is accurate but it is fun to watch and there is lots of great music in it. I bought the album years ago and listened to it often so I was glad to be able to get the film and watch it again.

I watched Saving Private Ryan once. Not only did I fail to see what all the fuss was about, I thought it was pretty dumb and, at times, insulting. Yes, the battle scenes were well done. But every time one of the characters spoke, it sounded bogus and false. Tom Hanks at the end, muttering, "Earn ... this ..." Please.
In contrast, "Hell is for Heroes" does not contain one false moment... more

This one is my second favorite to the first Dirty Harry film. Liked it better than Magnum Force. Very excellent cast in this film and plenty of action in this one as well. Always good to see Clint Eastwood carrying the big 44 Magnum chasing crooks in the streets of San Francisco. Highly recommend this one to Dirty Harry fans or collectors... more
