| Starring: Harrison Ford, Raul Julia, Greta Scacchi, Brian Dennehy, Bonnie Bedelia Directed By: Alan J. Pakula, Roman Polanski February 23, 2010
I'd rate Frantics Blu-ray Picture quality a 2.5 out of 5, and Presumed Innocent a 3 out of 5. Both prints are from true HD sources. These are not upscales. According to the back of the cover, the audio is "DTS-HD Master Audio: English 2.0".
Frantic's picture quality is not bad, it's just weak when compared to the Blu-ray standard. These are clearly older masters, and as such tend to show... more

I loved it. I must have seen it already six times by now. I thought the acting was great, and all the actors perfect for their roles. The music is absolutely beautiful; very haunting. And the story is *very* powerful. I haven't read the novel yet, but this series is a great work of art in its own right. One of the best TV series I've ever seen... more

Features:- Inspired by the best-selling novel, BRIDESHEAD REVISITED is a riveting drama of love, power and betrayal, featuring stunning performances by Academy Award(R) winner Emma Thompson (Best Actress, HOWARDS END, 1992) and Matthew Goode (THE LOOKOUT). Watch it If you must, but then immediately rent or purchase the original from the 1970's. First trying to cram a eight hour mini series into a two hour film is just Looney. second the makers of this poor quality remake completely missed the many intricate subtleties of Waugh's Novel.Brideshead was most certainly not a condemnation of Catholicism, nor was the main focus Sebastian's and Charles... more

| | 9. Presumed Innocent |
| Starring: Harrison Ford, Raul Julia, Greta Scacchi, Brian Dennehy, Bonnie Bedelia Directed By: Alan J. Pakula December 17, 1997
Spoilers within: Ridiculous ending. What on earth were the producers thinking? There was NO indication -- throughout the movie -- that the killer was so crazy, that the person couldn't put together even the most basic thought process of how their actions would set Sabich up for a fight for his life. I mean come ON, a simple 2+2=4 would have done it, you wouldn't need to finish a dissertation... more

| | 10. The Red Violin |
| Starring: Carlo Cecchi, Jean-Luc Bideau, Christoph Koncz, Jason Flemyng, Greta Scacchi Directed By: François Girard May 20, 2003
I may be a bit biased, because in my heart I am a collector--of time, stamps, of bits of past. So, I kind of understood the drive one feels when one comes across a piece like a 350 years old violin. It's not a masterpiece... more
