| 1. Alice in Wonderland |
| Starring: Cary Grant, Gary Cooper, W.C. Fields, Richard Arlen, Leon Errol Directed By: Norman Z. McLeod March 02, 2010
What can I say. Charlotte Henry is a wonderful Alice in a wonderful movie about a wonderful place. I pretty much love all the 'Alice' movies and musical plays. They are all so whimsical and so funny and charming. I love Disney,Bunin, the stuffy English versions, the music hall version, the Burton,Svankmajaer,Willing versions. Heck, I even love the Steve Allen version. But I'll have to say I... more

The Argonauts were very early explorers, most likely the first Greek voyagers to the Black Sea. They sailed from Thessaly, where their leader, JASON, was the rightful king of Iolcus. According to the myth, Jason's father, Aeson, was deposed by his half-brother Pelias, who was warned at the time how he would in turn be overthrown by a man wearing only one sandal. This mythical story is well told in... more

Having recently purchased a HD TV, i knew it was only a matter of time before i bought a Blu-Ray player as well. Sure enough, a week after buying the TV, i splashed out the cash for a Blu-Ray machine. That was the easy part.
Looking at the newly released Blu-Ray titles, and the significant price difference between a regular DVD and the movie on Blu-Ray, i began to look through titles i... more

| | 4. The Sherlock Holmes Collection |
| Starring: Peter Cushing, Nigel Stock, Douglas Wilmer, Peter Madden, Grace Arnold December 15, 2009
I wasn't able to watch the disc as it is the worse transfer I have ever seen on a $20.00 DVD. Full of artifacting and block noise. A tenth generation VHS looks better then this awful release. It's to bad as I was really looking forward to seeing these episodes. I can record better DVDs than this crap and day of the week without any effort... more

After reading this great book, I was excited to see the movie. Unfortunately, the movie was disappointing. You will certainly know you are watching a very old movie. Also, many parts of the book were left out. And it was hard to follow. Just read the book. Forget the movie!... more

| | 8. Suddenly, Last Summer |
| Starring: Elizabeth Taylor, Katharine Hepburn, Montgomery Clift, Albert Dekker, Mercedes McCambridge Directed By: Joseph L. Mankiewicz August 15, 2000
This movie is a unique opportunity to see Katherine Hepburn in one of her best performances as Mrs. Violet Venable, a hypocritical, tyrannical and snobbish power monger of the old South. She is considering doing a lobotomy on her niece, Catherine Holly for fear that she could reveal the 'scandalous' life that led to her son Sebastian's savage death. As in many ways the mainstream culture in America... more

Until I watch Season One on DVd I'd forgotten why I stopped watching it as a kid. This was unusual because back in the early sixties I watched all the TVseries about WWII. The reason was simple I quickly firgued out that the German Officer was more professional and brighter than the Rat Patrol. He would out think them for 20 minutes and then the writers would come up with some incredible way for the... more
