The Road Warrior is a pretty incredible film that is not only the best of the Mad Max Trilogy, it's actually the only one of the three that can be called a film of true quality. The first Mad Max was nothing more than laughable B-movie fodder, while Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome was simply a watered-down mutation of the second film for the gullible American audience and the greedy Hollywood... more

| | 4. Queen of the Damned (Widescreen Edition) |
| Starring: Aaliyah, Stuart Townsend, Marguerite Moreau, Vincent Perez, Paul McGann Directed By: Michael Rymer June 01, 2004
I admit, I love this movie. However I did watch it BEFORE I had read all the books, so I might be a little bias. Personally I think that if they had taken the time to make this one movie into two, and even attempted to do the Vampire Lestat AND the Queen of the Damned some type of justice this would have totally taken the cake. However they didn't. So I say: If you haven't read any of Anne Rice's books... more

| | 6. The Road Warrior / Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (Double Feature) |
| Starring: Mel Gibson, Tina Turner, Bruce Spence, Michael Preston, Max Phipps Directed By: George Miller, George Ogilvie May 22, 2007
Features:- All roads lead to excitement for Mel Gibson's Mad Max! In a world destroyed by the ravages of nuclear war, gasoline is a currency of the realm. Enter Max, champion of underdog survivors living in a fuel-depot camp. Make way for him and The Road Warrior [Side A], the Apocalypse on wheels that put Gibson on the Hollywood map for keeps and ranks as one of the most mind-blowing stunt movies ever made.
The first Mad Max of course was the best in futuristic apocalyptic world. It doesn't have all the special effects of today's movies, but it still packs a punch. It is definitely worth seeing.
Mad Max beyond Thunderdome, is a bit silly, but it fits in good enough to want to have both movies... more
