To begin, I was extremely pleased with the quality of disks and artwork of jackets and casing. Most of the disks even featured well-placed animated menus with appropriate music. However, some of the later discs lacked the animated menus, and I would label the entire set as lacking in extra features. The commentaries were limited, which isn't a huge problem to me, but they were spoken by the english... more

A friend told me about this movie and I just had to see it! Giant bunny rabbits terrorize the Southwest! The special effects are fun -- I didn't know rabbits growled. Features:- This extraordinary production captures the soot and smoke that blot out the sun in dank, industry-choked Coketown. Local MP and schoolmaster Thomas Gradgrind (Bob Peck) raises his children, Louisa and Tom, in the utilitarian fashion, stressing reason and fact and dismissing imagination and emotion. Under his influence, Louisa grows cold while Tom turns to a secret life of drinking and gambling. To
This adaptation of the novel was done by the BBC for schools. What you get is essentially something like a filmed version of a stage play. The cast is excellent. The production made incredibly creative use of a very mimimal budget. But if your expecting a first-class production with a huge budget, look elsewhere.
Given the length of the work, the writers had to be very creative as far... more

| | 10. Clockwatchers |
| Starring: Toni Collette, Parker Posey, Lisa Kudrow, Alanna Ubach, Helen FitzGerald Directed By: Jill Sprecher December 26, 2006
Parker Posey has seriously grown on me over the years. What I like about her movies are the emotional extremes they tend to evoke in people. Either you hate it or you think it's brilliant. Surprisingly most people lean toward the latter. 'Clockwatchers' is a wonderful example of this dynamic.
I see many people comparing this movie to Office Space and I believe they are doing the review... more
