| 1. No Time for Sergeants |
|
Starring: Andy Griffith, Nick Adams, Murray Hamilton, Don Knotts, Myron McCormick Directed By: Mervyn LeRoy May 04, 2010
I remember seeing this in the movies when it came out , and again a few years later on television . This movie to me was really over hyped and disappointing . This originally was a Broadway play . Unfortunately , not all Broadway plays translate to the silver screen . The Odd Couple is another disappointing example , not remotely funny . The one saving grace is Nick Adams , that boy really... more

| 2. The Andy Griffith Show - The Complete Fourth Season |
|
Starring: Andy Griffith, Ron Howard, Don Knotts, Frances Bavier, Bernard Fox Directed By: Aaron Ruben, Coby Ruskin, Earl Bellamy, Jeffrey Hayden, Richard Crenna November 22, 2005
As was the case with Season 3, this season's episodes have all the characters and their situations in perfect alignment. Tne show continues at it's peak of excellence. As usual there are exceptions ("Briscoe Declares For Aunt Bee" or "Prisoner of Love) but even the occasional mediocre story has its classio moments. My favorite episodes are "The Haunted House", "Barney's Sidecar", "Up In Barney's... more

| 3. Mirrormask |
|
Starring: Jason Barry, Dora Bryan, Rob Brydon, Stephen Fry, Andy Hamilton February 14, 2006
This move is very strange, but Neil Gaiman is one of the writers and I found it very unique. The visual style is fantastic and it shares Gaiman's typical fantasy styling. The story is a bit on the childish side but I still enjoyed it. If you are a fan of Gaiman's writing then you are likely to be entertained by the movie... more

|
Starring: Andy Griffith, Myron McCormick, Ernest Borgnine, Betsy Blair, Van Heflin Directed By: Delbert Mann;Fielder Cook;John Frankenheimer;Mervyn LeRoy November 24, 2009
This DVD release contains eight teleplays broadcast on live television in the 1950's.
This is an impressive release both for the difficulty of having broadcast but how they were able to record them at a time before videotapes were available.
Many of these teleplays were later adapted into movies.
Marty is the story of a young bachelor living with his mother... more

| 6. The Godfather, Part III (Widescreen Edition) |
|
Starring: Al Pacino, Diane Keaton, Andy Garcia, Talia Shire, Eli Wallach Directed By: Francis Ford Coppola May 24, 2005
I admit I love this movie because of the actors and the characters they played. I love mobster films as much as anyone here. I love Al Pacino he is so good in this film but the person that really sparked was Andy Garcia playing Vincent as cold, violent, emotional gangster who was being advised by Michael Corleone in a well deserved Oscar Nomination. Even though he might not have won the oscar especially... more

| 7. 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag |
|
Starring: Joe Pesci, Andy Comeau, Kristy Swanson, George Hamilton, Dyan Cannon Directed By: Tom Schulman October 08, 2002
I always wanted to see this movie, and renting it at 99 cents is a great deal.
Joe Pesci hauls 8 heads in a duffel bag from NJ to San Diego.
The mobster mayhem and mix up starts there, when the bag gets mixed up with a tourist and his family traveling to Mexico via San Diego.
This is really a feature for Joe Pesci humor, style and slapstick.
Really... more
