| 1. The Mist |
| Starring: William Sadler, Chris Owen, Andre Braugher, Nathan Gamble, Toby Jones Directed By: Frank Darabont March 25, 2008
I won't get into too many details here, the adaptation is good and I was pleased with the film in total. It is very claustrophobic ala "Night of the Living Dead" replacing the farm house by a supermarket, full on glass in the front. Mist manages the suspense and the tension that increases to final climax at the end. I really recommend Mist for all completists of good SCI-FI genre and Stephen King... more

| | 2. Feast of Love |
| Starring: Greg Kinnear, Radha Mitchell, Morgan Freeman, Erika Marozsán, Jane Alexander February 05, 2008
If you're a hopeless, knock down, drag-out, love/heart sick, romantic as I am, you'll love this movie. Had I been in this movie, me & Greg Kinnear's character would've been down for the long haul (LOL!) I loved this - Morgan Freeman & the character that played his wife were so tender & gentle - old school love. Loved the young lost couple finding each other & giving themselves to... more

| Starring: Vin Diesel, Judi Dench, Colm Feore, Thandie Newton, Karl Urban Directed By: David Twohy March 31, 2009
Personally, I find this Trilogy the best way to view all three of the Riddick movies: the original Pitch black, the animated The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury, and the final chapter, The Chronicles of Riddick. All three Vin Diesel films are great views. I highly recommend... more

A relative told me it reminded him of "Dune" which I scoffed at because I love David Lynch's "Dune" because A) I'm a David Lynch fan and B) I did NOT read Frank Herbert's famous book which maybe would have spoiled the movie if I were to demand it be a faithful adaptation.
Anyway, what he meant was that Chronicles of Riddick had aesthetic similarities with Dune, which is... more

Features:- Antonio Banderas (Spy Kids, Once Upon a Time in Mexico) delivers a powerful, larger-than-life performance as the title character of this incredible true story of how Mexican Revolutionary, Pancho Villa, allowed a Hollywood crew to film him in battle, altering the course of film and military history in the process. The adventure gets its start when early movie giants D.W. Griffith (Colm Feore) and

| Starring: Diane Keaton, Tom Everett Scott, Alexa Davalos, Lauren German, Josh Hopkins May 09, 2006
Maybe it was the scene where the mother held her daughter's shoes, as if she could somehow make her return. Or maybe it was the scene where the mother worked frantically, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, believeing that if she just stayed busy enough, the pain couldn't penetrate her cheerful exterior. Or maybe it is that my own daughter's best friend is a gay man and I envy her that... more
