| 2. A Reality Tour |
|
By: David Bowie January 26, 2010
A nice collection of Bowie done "live" for those who are fans or for those wanting to discover his work. It is not a definitive collection, but does contain some of Bowie's highlights spanning his entire career. This disc shows the variety and depth of his ever evolving style. This 2 disc set recorded live is from his 2004 Reality Tour. His trend setting work is performed with a new vigor and freshness... more

| 3. Who's Next |
|
By: The Who November 07, 1995
I had heard The Who's music for years, but I had only heard their more mainstream hits, which are great by the way. Then a friend was telling me that I would appreciate 'Who's Next' in its entirety. So I bought it and I am completely satisfied.
Some people say the remastered versions are not as good as the original vinyls. I really can't say either way because I never listened to the... more

| 4. Live in Santa Monica '72 |
|
By: David Bowie March 10, 2009
Live in Santa Monica '72 being a live album of Bowie and is a recording of his Ziggy Stardust Tour. Here we get great live renditions of Bowie classics such as "Changes", "Space Oddity" and ofcourse "Ziggy Stardust". Allmusic gave this live recording 5/5 in the reviews and I completely agree. The booklet is quite sparse with a few photos of Bowie from the time of the concert and a list of whom played... more

| 5. The T.A.M.I. Show Collector's Edition |
|
Starring: The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, James Brown and The Flames, Chuck Berry, Marvin Gaye Directed By: Steve Binder March 23, 2010
This is obviously one of the most spectacular events in music history and I can't believe how fun it is to be watching ...but I'm not sure if it was the direction at the day or possibly switching from 4x3 to 16x9 format...but too often when a young Chuck Berry is playing and singing..the guitar is cropped out so we get the background go go dancers fully in frame...and as a music fan I'd rather watch... more

| 7. Scratch My Back |
|
By: Peter Gabriel March 02, 2010
If Lloyd Dobler had played Scratch My Back on his boombox, he never would have won Diane back.
As a long time fan of Peter Gabriel dating back to college in the early 1970s, I have to say this album did nothing for me. I've always enjoyed his entire body of work, even the more somber stuff (including Up). Song after song on Scratch plods ahead relentlessly. The tracks seemed indinguishable... more

| 8. Woodstock Diary 1969: Friday Saturday Sunday |
|
Starring: Joan Baez, Lennie Baker, Marty Balin, Bruce Barthol, Jon 'Bowzer' Bauman Directed By: Chris Hegedus, D.A. Pennebaker, Erez Laufer September 22, 2009
I did learn things I didn't know about 1969 Woodstock. But this DVD uses too much video from the oringial movie. There's hours and hours of film that was shot sitting in some Hollywood vault somewhere that could be used. If you enjoyed the original movie you don't really need to buy this one. To much of the same thing over again, althrough the short interviews where a nice touch... more

| 9. VH1 Storytellers |
|
By: David Bowie July 14, 2009
David Bowie's 1999 appearance on Vh1's "Storytellers" is about an hour's worth of intimate performances and entertaining stories. Bowie is a charming conversationalist, and his anecdotes provide a bit of insight into his early career. The set list is anything but predictable, with obscure songs like his first solo single, "Can't Help Thinking About Me," alongside hits like "Life on Mars?" and a short... more

| 10. Live at Leeds |
|
By: The Who February 28, 1995
the original 6 song album is a hard rock masterpiece of the highest order. it's one of the who's best albums. only "WHO'S NEXT" is definitely better. the original album is by far the best, most powerful version (with no talk or filler to slow things down). short and sweet, it still packs quite a punch today. it will knock you out. more is not better in this case... more
