| 3. Star Wars - Episode I, The Phantom Menace (Widescreen Edition) |

Starring: Ewan McGregor, Liam Neeson, Natalie Portman, Jake Lloyd, Ian McDiarmid Directed By: George Lucas March 22, 2005
I like this movie. Am I objective? Of course not! I was 8 yrs old in '77 when that first Star Destroyer lumbered overhead and changed my life. The rest is history. I will say this though - as huge a fan as I was I didn't find myself particularly fascinated by the idea of the prequels at first. For me all the big questions had been answered by ROTJ. It was all pretty simple - Obi Wan... more

| 4. Star Wars - Episode II, Attack of the Clones (Widescreen Edition) |

Starring: Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, Christopher Lee, Samuel L. Jackson Directed By: George Lucas March 22, 2005
For some reason, many people saw this as an improvement over episode 1. And I kind of understand why. No Jake Lloyd, not nearly as much screen time for Jar Jar, and Obi-Wan becomes more interesting as a character. But in my eyes, so many things were worse this time around. Qui-Gon's gone, and he is one of my favorite Star Wars characters. Darth Maul is dead, and we have a new villian for this... more

| 6. Star Wars Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (Full Screen) |
|
What I love about The Empire Strikes Back is that it's such an original sequel to A New Hope. Also, unlike the other episodes of the original trilogy, all of the revisions/alterations to Empire I think make it better. The ships look much better and more realistic (no more grey boxes around TIE Fighters). Cloud City on Bespin evokes more beauty. This is as close as we'll ever get to seeing a restored... more

| 7. Star Wars Episode IV - A New Hope (Full Screen) |
|
Directed By: George Lucas 2004
I've never been quite sure why so many people are complaining about the revisions to the original version of A New Hope. It's a great movie, but it came out in an era when people didn't have home video players (much less DVDs). Lucas cleaned up the movies, made the ships more realistic, and generally most of the improvements make the film look better. I agree that I wish Lucas didn't mess with the... more

This is a great movie for kids that are into Star Wars. Gives them the excitement of a live action movie with the visual aspect of a cartoon. There is enough action to keep kids entertained, without to much "boring" stuff... more

| 10. The Empire Strikes Back: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Special Edition) |
|
By: London Symphony Orchestra January 28, 1997
Even though all of the other Star Wars soundtracks have their moments of glory, and some are as classic or epic as they come, I keep returning to The Empire Strikes Back as the one with the most such "moments." I would even dare to say that this is the greatest of all motion picture soundtracks (particularly because the special edition includes all of the music from the movie, something that seems... more
