Season 3 of this series is where this show really hit it's stride, writers and producers got changed, the uniforms were changed, and the opening sequence was changed, and all for the better, because the first 2 seasons of this show were not that great, season 1 was a disgrace, season 2 was an improvement, but still left much to be desired, season 3 is where this series starts for me.
And... more

| Starring: Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner May 07, 2002
Lwaxana Troi is what made this season. The episode "Manhunt' was the best episode in the first two seasons. That episode was so funny! Now, I will tell you what turned the other characters a little bit better. Riker has his beard. Worf is now Tactical Officer. Geordi is Chief Engineer. Deanna changed her outfit. Picard is still stuck-up. Wesley is a little bit better about being so whiney. The... more

| Starring: Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn Directed By: Jonathan Frakes, Chip Chalmers, Cliff Bole, Corey Allen, David Carson November 05, 2002
Season 5 of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" contains many predictable elements. Big surprise, the Enterprise encounters new aliens that test the crew's versatility and quick thinking as well as meeting old foes, like the Crystalline Entity and the Borg, who make them debate good and evil, right and wrong. Season 5 includes time travel, body possession, and transporter malfunctions. For a little titillation... more

| Starring: Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn Directed By: Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton, Adam Nimoy, Alexander Singer, Cliff Bole December 03, 2002
What a terrific season, I think this might be the best season in The Next Generation series, and that's saying a lot, because seasons 3, 4, and 5 are great beyond words, so to say this is the best season is pretty high ranks, of course I haven't seen season 7 yet, but I have it already (i have the whole series), and I except nothing less.
There is so much going for this season, from the... more

Well, here I am, just after finishing the entire series, and I'm left in awe at what a great series this turned out to be, it's a wonder this series made it past season 1, because let's face it, this series did not start out on good terms (meaning the first season), because it was such atrocious, the acting, the bad hair, the bad uniforms, and most of all the bad story lines, well, thank god Paramount... more

... After watching all 7 seasons on DVD now I have found that the visual quality is quite pleasant even on a large display (52" Bravia :)). So there's no real point in holding out as there probably wont be a "this-Gen" release anyway... more

| | 7. Star Trek Voyager - The Complete Third Season |
| Starring: Kate Mulgrew, Robert Beltran July 06, 2004
Despite being a confirmed Star trek fan (yes I AM almost old enough to have seen them first time'round) I was never really a huge fan of the Voyager show. It seemed to lack substance and the characters seemed quite two dimensional. with the third series, that has started to change.
The characters are starting to show some subtleties and we are starting to see a little more use of this... more

| Starring: Avery Brooks, Nana Visitor February 25, 2003
When I was a kid back in the 60's my dad made us leave a neighbors dinner so that we could watch the first episode of "Star Trek". Since then I have been a "treky" (sp) & have watched it & every incarnation since the beginning. I haven't gotten into the newer Star Trek where it starts with a brand new James T. Kirk because it feels more like their just trying to ruin what I grew up with... more

Great series - no prob with product itself. I got two of the four dvd seasons I bought with the cases broken. This one was unbroken.
Amazon should look at packaging these delicate cases with some padding & not just a cardboard base with a plastic wrap... more

| | 10. Star Trek Deep Space Nine - The Complete Second Season |
| Starring: Avery Brooks, Rene Auberjonois, Alexander Siddig, Terry Farrell, Cirroc Lofton Directed By: Avery Brooks, Alexander Singer, Cliff Bole, Corey Allen, David Carson April 01, 2003
Our family, especially my husband, really enjoys Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. I know many in the fandom give it no love, and it died a sort of ignoble death the last season or so. The actors and their characters, especially Avery Brooks' Capt. Sisko, were so dynamic - perhaps the best Trek cast, imho. I'll admit the series had to grow on me, as I was angry at the cancellation of "ST:NG." In the... more
