| 1. Elfquest: The Discovery |
|
By: Richard Pini, Wendy Pini Publisher: Elfquest October 04, 2006
I have been a fan of Elfquest since 1983. This is one of the most recent stories produced by the Pini's (Searcher & the Sword was another.)
The story centers around Suntop, son of Leetah the Sunfolk healer and Cutter the Wolfrider chief. Suntop during one of his "journeys of spirit" encounters another twin named Brill of the Waveriders a xenophobic ocean dwelling tribe of elves... more

| 2. Elfquest Reader's Collection: Worldpool |
|
By: Wendy Pini, Richard Pini, Bill Neville, Brandon McKinney, Barry Blair, Kim Yale, Pam Fremon, Carla Speed McNeil Publisher: Warp Graphics 2000-07
I love elfquest, but this is one of the worst books in the readers collections. There are a collection of stories that don't fit anywhere else, and all but one shoudln't have been published at all. The store of Egg's meeting with Timmain is wonderful, good art, good story. It is the only one worth while. The others have poor art and chatoic story lines. The store where sutter was a cross breed... more

| 3. Cigarette Kisses |
|
By: Nase Yamato Publisher: Aurora Publishing September 23, 2009
I have to admit that I was drawn to the art first. But after reading this yaoi, I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. I won't give away the plot too much, but its a good triangle that made me guess a few times and I was actually happy with how it worked out. The characters seemed realistic and the situations were really challenges that would make them all or some of them grow up and out as people... more

| 4. Elfquest - Hidden Years |
|
By: Wendy Pini, Richard Pini Publisher: Berkley Publishing Group 1993-03
In case you are unfamiliar with the Elfquest series, I highly suggest reading some of the past graphic novels in print starting with Fire and Flight and The Forbidden Grove before tackling the Hidden Years.
Wendy and Richard Pini, despite being well known in the fantasy circle, are still relatively unknown comic book artists. Which is a SHAME because their timeless Elfquest stories are... more

| 5. Noodle Shop Affair Volume 1 (Yaoi) (Deux) |
|
By: C. J. Michalski Publisher: Aurora Publishing June 10, 2009
I just finished reading the manga. I would definitely have to say that it was not only cute, but it was funny, entertaining, and a great read. I flipped through the pages really quick because it was just that good. The protagonists in the story are just too cute for words, especially Ukyo and attempts to make Kakeru fall in love with him. Not to mention his constant perverted nosebleeds that accompany... more

| 6. Dog Style Volume 3 |
|
By: Modoru Motoni By: Modoru Motoni Publisher: Media Blasters October 07, 2009
The last volume in Modoru Motoni's three part yaoi seires Dog Style, the last volume is by far my favorite of all three manga! Volume 3 follows up and closes the illict yet romantic relationship between pretty boy Miki and delinquent Teru, both struggling to sort through their feelings for the Kashiwa brothers and the even more puzzling feelings they have for each other. The ending... more

| 7. Electric Hands (Yaoi) (Doki Doki) |
|
By: Taishi Zaou By: Taishi Zaou Publisher: Digital Manga Publishing January 06, 2010
Taishi Zaou's earliest works and consist of 4 stories, 2 of them loosely connected. The artwork may not be as polished (so claimed the mangaka) but I thought all her boys are so pretty and cute. Electric Hands about 2 students is lighthearted and amusing. One seems to have hands fetish and have fallen in love with the other one's hands. Does not help that he gets electric jolts when touched by... more

| 8. The Dark-Hunters, Vol. 1 (Dark-Hunter Manga) |
|
By: Sherrilyn Kenyon Publisher: St. Martin's Griffin July 07, 2009
If you like Sherrylin Kenyon's books, you'll like this. I wasn't sure about Manga art, but the style fits the story perfectly and the heroes and just dang hot! The story is exciting and adventurous, you just have to remember to read it backwards. I'm just waiting for the next issue because this one ends with a cliffhanger... more

| 9. CROQUIS |
|
By: Hinako Takanaga By: Hinako Takanaga Publisher: Tokyopop February 02, 2010
Croquis is a delightful, tender and funny story. The couple here is very cute especially the adorable Nagi who wants a sex change because he is gay. A lot of quarrelsome and spiteful "girls" here. A wonderful romance as Nagi finally believes he is loved for being who he is.
What stands out for me in this collection is the one shot, "On My First Love" consisting of 2 parts. This is such... more

| 10. Clan Of The Nakagamis Volume 2 (Yaoi) (v. 2) |
|
By: Homerun Ken By: Homerun Ken Publisher: Digital Manga Publishing March 25, 2009
Clan of the Nakagamis: The Devil Cometh is simply as equally hilarious as the first one. Like the first book, this one continues to explore the dynamics of the love relationship that is experienced by Tokio (the male math teacher) and Haruka (his male student).
The Devil Cometh virtually exists in two parts. First, another member of the Nakagami family is introduced (Hibari Nakagami... more
