| 2. House Rules: A Novel |
|
By: Jodi Picoult Publisher: Atria March 02, 2010
To paraphrase Stephen King regarding the Dark Tower series, "It's about the journey, not the ending". It was as though Jodi Picoult jumped up from her computer to retrieve the burning toast and never came back. Although the ending was bad, I enjoyed most of the journey. However, there were many puzzling aspects. Example: The description of Jacob's personality and his narrative personality did not... more

| 3. Wonder Woman: Who is Wonder Woman? |
|
By: Allan Heinberg Publisher: DC Comics February 17, 2009
I loved this book. I'm sorry some reviewers didn't like it, but I thought it was a decent story, especially when you can read this book (issues 1 - 5 of the current run which began in 2006) and now read all the way up to issue #40, which is the current issue as of this writing. As the series went on, Diana has struggled with having killed a man (in self-defense, but still...) and with her identity... more

| 4. Picture Perfect |
|
By: Jodi Picoult Publisher: Berkley Trade July 02, 2002
To sum things up, this book could have been cut in half (at least!) and gotten the same point across. I almost gave up on this book a few times, but for some reason kept reading. The ending was okay but everything leading up to it was long-winded. This was my first book by Jodi Picoult and I honestly don't think I would read another by her, sorry to say... more

| 5. Wonder Woman: The Circle |
|
By: Gail Simone Publisher: DC Comics September 29, 2009
I am so excited by Gail Simone's ideas for Wonder Woman. She opens up some intriguing doors on Themyscira that have been begging to be opened, and gives Wonder Woman a chance to really express her humanity... more

| 6. Second Glance: A Novel |
|
By: Jodi Picoult Publisher: Washington Square Press August 05, 2008
I wasn't terribly excited about the premise of this book - a suicidal lead character, ghost hunting and 1930s eugenics - but I bought it on faith that Jodi Picoult always delivers at least an enjoyable, and sometimes wonderful read. I've read and enjoyed many of her novels, but for me her best was always "My Sister's Keeper" - until now.
This is one of those wonderful novels that you... more

| 7. Perfect Match: A Novel |
|
By: Jodi Picoult Publisher: Washington Square Press February 04, 2003
I purchased this book at a local book store, looking forward to the great reading experience I had come to expect from Jodi Picoult. What a disappointment! I read about halfway through, thinking, after having read My Sisters Keeper and Handle With care, both of which were excellent books, that surely it would get better. It didn't. Finally, I put it aside, and have no interest in finishing... more

| 8. Keeping Faith |
|
By: Jodi Picoult Publisher: Avon August 26, 2008
Jodi Picoult is at her best in this novel about a mother's love for her child; a love that allows for the stretching of the heart, the mind, and the spirit. Faith is a young character who glimmers off the pages, and who brings new hopes and challenges for her single mother. The novel is also a reflection of the media-filled society we live in today, and offers poignant insights into the lives of so... more

| 9. Salem Falls |
|
By: Jodi Picoult Publisher: Washington Square Press August 06, 2002
I have read 3 of Picoult's novels and there is an ongoing court case/trial theme in each one. This doesn't bother me too much, but I do find myself wanting to skip pages sometimes just to see the end result. This book in particular was o.k. It was a bit hard to believe in some aspects that **SPOILER** Addie was gang raped, and then falls for a convicted rapist (albeit he was innocent of course.)... more

| 10. Harvesting the Heart: A Novel |
|
By: Jodi Picoult Publisher: Penguin (Non-Classics) April 01, 1995
I found it hard to relate to the character. As a mom, I cannot imagine leaving my baby for no reason without even letting my husband know. It was not as easy of a read and not as interesting as her other books. I was disappointed. ... more
