By: Greg Pak, Peter David Publisher: Marvel Comics 2009-05
Once I saw Hulk and the Warbound set up gladiator fighting in Madison Square Garden I really lost interest. I was hoping that Hulk was going to systematically hunt down the offending Illuminati in the same vein as great revenge movie. The Sentry's presence is built up throughout the story and finally shows up at the end only to become a bigger menace and threat to the Marvel Universe. The Hulk and... more

| 3. World War Hulk: Gamma Corps (Incredible Hulk) |
|
By: Frank Tieri, Carlos Ferreira Publisher: Marvel Comics June 11, 2008
The WWH series introduces an excellent tie-in with WWH: Gamma Corps, involving five victims of the Hulk subjecting themselves to Gamma radition and Hulk DNA to become strong enough to battle him. The Gamma Corps storyline in fact takes place prior to the main events of the World War Hulk Comic, as the Hulk's ultimatum has not yet expired. The story features excellent art and superb action, but what... more

| 5. World War Hulk - Warbound |
|
By: Greg Pak Publisher: Marvel Comics July 16, 2008
Planet Hulk was amazing, and I love the characters introduced there who would go on to become the Warbound. World War Hulk was pretty disappointing, although several of the tie-in mini series were decent. This one directly follows the events of World War Hulk and its epilogue, and places the Warbound in a new adventure. The story itself is fairly pedestrian, and involves a generic plot by the Hulk... more

| 7. Incredible Hulk: Planet Hulk |
|
By: Greg Pak Publisher: Marvel Comics April 30, 2008
I'm not the biggest Hulk fan in the world, but this was an excellent story. Marvel's done the "send a strongman to another planet" thing before (with The Thing, in his own comic) but this is much better. The art is great, and the story, though derivative of many things (A Princess of Mars, Gladiator), has enough interesting twists to keep it interesting. Some of the pages seem choppy (was anything... more

| 8. Incredible Hulk: Prelude to Planet Hulk |
|
By: Daniel Way, Keu Cha Publisher: Marvel Comics April 05, 2006
Story is over the top but entertaining at the same time. As with most comic book stories this one involves an "end of the world" theme, where the only one that can save the planet is the Hulk. The only piece of this that relates to Planet Hulk is the last couple pages where he's double crossed.
Overall an entertaining piece of work with average artwork. ... more

| 9. Incredible Hulk: The End (Marvel Premiere Classic) |
|
By: Peter David Publisher: Marvel Comics February 13, 2008
This book of two stories, gripped me with excitement and left me pondering The Hulk 's life as a real experience if it happened to myself. The first story (Imperfect Hulk) had a lot of classic Hulk characterization to The Hulk and it 's enemy. But, the enemy (which I won 't spoil in revealing) was antagonistic and extremely precise in every move it made towards countering and creating elements of surprise!... more

| 10. Heroes For Hire Volume 3: World War Hulk (v. 3) |
|
By: Zeb Wells Publisher: Marvel Comics February 13, 2008
The whole of this book takes place during World War Hulk from the time the city is being evacuated till right before the arena games at Madison Square Garden begin. It deals mainly with the brood queen and other insects that arrived with Hulk. There is a lot of reference in WWH Damage Control about the events that happen in this book. This book is not critical to the cross-over but is a good addition... more
