| 1. Wonder Woman: Lifelines |
|
By: John A. Byrne Publisher: DC Comics February 01, 1998
John Byrne has done some excellent work in his time as a writer artist, this is not one of those times. His art is excellent, but the story is well below average. Except for the introduction of Wonder Girl (Who had to rely on a reboot by Peter David & Geoff Johns to become a true character) there is nothing of distinction in this collection. I know the character well and unlike the Wonder Woman/Artemis... more

By: Phil Jimenez Publisher: DC Comics April 01, 2003
So suspenseful and so sad. This paperback carries the scene of Hippolyta's death, which is trule heart-wrenching to read. Great issue overall, however, with the beautiful panel art and the wonderful story... more

By: George Perez Publisher: DC Comics October 01, 2005
It was so sweet to see WW and SM together, even if only for a few panels before a crisis interrupted their date. Perez did a fantastic job with the storyline and the art was adorable as always... more

| 4. Wonder Woman Vol. 4: Destiny Calling |
|
By: George Perez Publisher: DC Comics June 21, 2006
I have the other collections from Rucka and Perez, the only complaint is that they always seem to end too soon! The art and storyline is more simplistic, but then it was the 80s.
If all of WW Vol.2 came in collections of 5 or so issues at a time, I'd try to get them all. It's a shame that they only have a few collections and the rest are sold online individually... more

| 5. Wonder Woman Vol. 1: Gods and Mortals |
|
By: George Perez, Len Wein, Greg Potter Publisher: DC Comics March 01, 2004
The thrilling modern age retelling of the world's first and arguably still greatest superheroine, Wonder Woman, born Princess Diana to Queen Hippolyta of the Amazons on Paradise Island, chosen to go to "Man's World" to stop the mad war god Ares from destroying the world.
Dated though it may be, George Perez's writing in collaboration with Len Wein, Greg Potter and Bruce Patterson helped... more

| 6. Wonder Woman: Mission's End |
|
By: Greg Rucka Publisher: DC Comics July 19, 2006
Probably the 2nd most heart-wrenching WW paperback I've ever read (1st being Paradise Found with the scene of Hippolyta's death). Very realistic emotions flowed through this issue, very sad for the most part, but this *is* WW, so of course Rucka's run ends on a high note of hope!... more

|
By: George Perez, Len Wein Publisher: DC Comics October 01, 2004
George Perez restored the Amazon to her glory with his impressive run on the title. While the first staory arc was wonderful, this storyline really kicked it into gear. Amazing art, and each issue better than the last until the climax...the last god, that Diana must confront. ... more

| 9. Wonder Woman: Down to Earth |
|
By: Greg Rucka Publisher: DC Comics August 01, 2004
When I got this graphic novel in I was excited thinking that Greg Rucka is behind all this, but as I was reading the story I was feeling very disappointed. I found there's too much talking and very little action, Wonder Woman looks "too sweet", many smiles and nice words. Not even the art is good to me I think the drawings could have been more detailed and better done, jus as it happen in "Wonder Woman's... more

| 10. Wonder Woman: Bitter Rivals |
|
By: Greg Rucka Publisher: DC Comics February 01, 2005
Gotta love Rucka's Wonder Woman- she had a solid sense of honor and purpose, something Gail Simone's Wonder Woman is severely lacking. If DC wants to know why WW title sales are down, G.Simone is the reason. Bring back Rucka!... more
