3 out of 5 starsFriday the 13th Part V a New Beginning is one of the worst but most entertaning of the series ^
Friday the 13th is and always be a good, campy, and graphic series, but the facts are that they stop sooner or later, and after 12 movies, i found that this one had some of the least slow parts, and more gore, and this one of the movies in the series with the highest bodycount!

Plot- Tommy Jarvis (Survivor from part 4) is now in a mental instatution, but when people begin to die, Tommy Jarvis is concidered un crazy and must stop at nothing to save his new found friends!

Acting- really, really bad

Gore- a nail to the head, an eye gouging (Off-screen with aftermath), two sliced throat, an axe to the back of the head, an axe to the chest, sheers cut out a girls eyes, a belt strap crushes a guy's face, a dude hacked up with an axe, a knife to the stomach, a meat cleaver to the face, some decapitations, a spear impalement, a road flare to the mouth, anotehr meat cleaver to the face and more!

Bottom Line- 3 out of 5

Rated R/ Time 92min/ 1985/ Color

5 out of 5 stars"A"-typical Jason Voorhees Film ^
While the film continues the teen-slasher motif of the Jason genre, it does so without its star character. Enthusiasts may find a way to perceive Part V as a necessary transitional piece, though I suspect that with less effort they can realize a better film with Jason at the helm.

1 out of 5 starsThis movie is so bad it makes jason takes manhattan look amazing! ^
The worst in the series of course Jason isn't the killer which wouldn't be the worst thing if not for at least two things. One thing if you are using the Friday the 13th movie with no Jason even part one had him at the end. One obvious fact Jason is a zombie immortal, whatever. Secondly if you at least want this movie to get more bad do one of two things make Tommy the killer or make him or somebody possessed by a demon. Also if not anything else at least do this do what they did in Jason Goes To Hell, Jason keeps switching bodies and they possessed super human strength but were probably still killable. Change the name to like Jack the Ripper or something this movie totally reeks of bad news! This makes Nightmare On Elm Streets Dream Warriors look amazing. Don't buy unless solely to complete the set but even at that is it worth it. I mean you realize you have to buy Jason X as well bummer.

5 out of 5 starsAwesome!! ^
Love this movie.. And i'm so glad Paramount finally gave us discs that aren't bare bones.. This movie is one of the best in the series so buy it now...

5 out of 5 starsA new Beginning ^
I like this movie for real it when a copy cat jason voorhees is on the prowl for revenge of this son that was axed by another wanted to be jason voorhees in a way.
