Wolverine's mutant arch-nemesis! Action figure of Sabertooth from the pages of Marvel Comics. He's one beast of a collectible! Features multiple points of articulation and an amazing base.
Wolverine's arch-nemesis! Presenting a new take on a classic villain, this fantastic 7-inch tall action figure features Wolverine's most hated enemy Sabretooth. Straight from the pages of Marvel Comics history, Sabretooth is depicted in his characteristic costume. He features an amazing deluxe base and multiple points of articulation. Designed by Dig Deep Entertainment and sculpted by Gentle Giant, this is one heavy-hitting mutant and beast of a collectible that you don't want to miss!
The best sculpt of Sabretooth your going to get. ^ First impressions? it's huge, bulky, and VERY Solid this is an exact copy taken right out of the Marvel vs. Capcom video game. it has a very Anime-ish look about it, which i really like but what makes this so great is the amazing sturdiness/solidity of the piece it is akin to SOTA'S (Old sota's)street fighter series in that, the material it was made out of seems near the same type yet different, this is as close to comic book-based characters as you can get paint apps are very good, (but nothing fantastic) this would receive 5 stars but what is missing which would make this already near-perfect figure is a torso crunch.
these types of figures are the best (in my opinion) because of their ability/versatility to fit in with other lines not merely one, for example hellboy, NECA toys, Fist of the north star, which are in the 7' scale not 6' scale like old Marvel that is of course if your super hardcore about video games and action figures, I simply like to collect. so if your a Marvel fan, or just a collector of cool stuff you may wanna check this out because we wont see another version this good of Sabertooth for a long time. Hers's hoping they do another version of venom next, or possibly Colossus (so many to choose from) and a few other worthy x-men. Now, back to the review of the figure itself....
It's to hunched over I.E. Blanka had/has a similar build but he bends while sabretooth does not, but since the figure is so massive it does not really matter, and a mrvel select is putting more articulation in their figures now all in all i'd have to say the "Definitive Sabretooth" is the marvel legends version but the biggest and "baddest best looking sabertooth" is the new Marvel Select version hands down he's nearly as tall as SOTA'S Sagat, that's big for a character who is not 7 feet! Bottom line a great toy, worth every penny.
Trumps the Marvel Legends version ^ This is a great representation of the Jim Lee version of Sabretooth. It's huge, heavy, and the sculpt is perfect. If you're a fan of the character, pick up this figure and check out the exclusive "First Appearance" version as well.
