Excellent product ^ I bought this for my son to use for an 8th grade science project on vocal pitch. He has had no trouble using it, although I did have to help him figure out some of its functions. It holds many more hours of recordings than he will ever need, and he's been using it for weeks on the same batteries. The recording quality is amazing for the tiny size of the recorder, and it comes with a USB cable that makes copying the recordings to the computer a snap. Now if only I can get him in the habit of using it to take notes on homework assignments...
Great Recorder! ^ This product is a MUST for college students. I use it every class session and I listen to the lectures at home and it allows me to write everything word per word because the recording comes out very clear. I also love the option of playing the recordings slower than usual!
I did not, buy... $9 shipping cost ^ I thought this was shipped thro amazon but after the purchase I was charged $9 for shipping. That is about 25% of the product cost. I just returned to sender. I can pick it up down the street for cheeper and I'm not going to pay an exorbant amout for shippinf

Con's: Just one -> recording quality sometimes(SOMETIMES, circunstances and way of use) can be poor.
Good stuff Olympus ^ I bought this little recorder to just make simple recordings of song compositions I write. I wasn't using it to make great sounding demos...It works great for what it is. There's some built-in noise limiting. My previous Olympus recorder always had some static (purchased it in 2001) whenever I made a simple recording, so it's obvious the technology has come a long way.
