Cute concept The text for both books is the same, but the illustrations vary. So "Grandpas make hats" is shown with grandpa making newspaper hats, but when Grandma does that she knits. Grandma is shown fingerpainting, grandpa is painting with watercolors. But the important thing is that both sets of grands can give you "lots of love".
Sweet story.
Great for special grandparents I bought this book not for my child but for my child to give her grandparents to show how much she loves them. It is cute to see how men and women may do the same things to entertain their grandkids but in different ways. It is also nice to have two books in one, just flip the book over for the other book.
Book: What Grandmas (and Grandpas) Do Best A friend showed me her copy of this book and I had to have one. I ended up giving it to first-time grandparents at a baby shower, and had to get another copy for myself. I like the sentiment, the wording is cute, and the illustrations are adorable. I also love that it has what grandmas do best on one side, and what grandpas do best on the other, that was a nice surprise.
Great book to give 1st time Grandparents I enjoy giving this book to 1st time Grandparents. It is good for both the Grandmother and Grandfather. My husband and I have enjoyed reading this to our two grandsons. With the bright pictures and animal characters, it keeps their attention and they seemed to enjoy every minute of it.
