Product Description:
Sequel to the New York Times best-seller ttyl

This sequel to the breakout bestseller, ttyl (a novel told entirely in instant messages), follows Maddie, Zoe, and Angela through their next year in high school, 11th grade. There's trouble and lots of IMs ahead for the Winsome Threesome.

Angela has just found out that her family is moving to El Cerrito, California, and she seriously doesn't know how she'll survive without her best friends. Maddie makes some really bad moves with Clive, a pot-smoking hipster who wants to be "friends with benefits." And Zoe finds herself falling for Doug, the sweet poet who has had a crush on Angela forever, a crush that Angela has come to count on.

Lauren Myracle has concocted another funny, touching look at the rocky road of real friendship--bumpy, nutty, and marshmallow-sweet.

Praise for ttyl

"Perfectly contemporary" -Kirkus

*"Revealing and innovative, this novel will inspire teens to pass it on to their friends." --School Library Journal (starred review)

1 out of 5 starsNot redeeming
Just because some kids do drugs, swear, and have sex does not mean we need to glorify those for all kids. Didn't find anything redeeming enough in the book to pass it on to any teens. It went in the recycling. Hopefully it will do more good made into something else.

I don't like giving a bad review - but felt inclined to in this case.

1 out of 5 starsTrash
I bought this book for my daughter only after asking the salesgirl in the store if it was appropriate for a 12 year old, I was assured it was. Last night my daughter came up to me and asked what a bl*wjob was. Apparently this is discussed in the book. Needless to say she will NOT be reading anymore books by this author or in this series

1 out of 5 starsTrash for young minds
They author have figured out that sex sells, especially to young teen girls. She concocts this IM narrative to capitalize on the trendiness of this mode of communication. The first book was dedicated to "the beer boys". uh, her intended audience is 12-16 year old girls. Hmm, I wonder if this is dedicated to "Rufus, her favorite drug dealer." or "The Ecstacy girls". I know these are real issues not to be avoided but to be brought out into the open. But glamorizing drug use, teen sex etc, is just irresponsible and exploitative. But I am surprised that she hasnt gotten sponsors like Trojan, Budweiser, and the like to boost profits.

5 out of 5 starsTTFN, a book just for girls who like boy conflicts, and Action!
TTYL is a book about three girls, Angela, Maddie and Zoe talking with each other by instant messages. They are in high school and are best friends. There is a huge conflict with Angela; she is moving. Is that going to ruin their friendship? Then Maddie gets in trouble and is grounded. Then Zoe gets in trouble and grounded and the only one is Angela who has nothing to do because she moved and thinks she has no friends or life anymore! I thought the book was very good! I read it over a weekend and a break! I started reading it at night and I almost finished it because it was such a page turner! You can't put it down! I'm so glad I convinced my mom to buy both books, TTYL and TTFN. Now I see that there is and sequel to both of them called l8r, g8r. If you like books about boys, girl fighting and ACTION, then this is the book for you! It is not boring at all! I loved both books!

"I could not live without you" this quote shows one of the many great things about the moral in this book. This book shows true friendship and that their can be bumpy times along the endless road of friendship. This book can help many teenage girls to relax and to understand that being friends with someone is not supposed to be easy. There are good times and bad times but it is the bad times that get you to each good time. This book at times seemed to be a tad bit boring because it is all conversations on line. When something happens you don't find out until after it happens.
This book constantly kept me interested. There was always some problem that was going on that made the book run smooth. This book was an easy book to read because there were not any sophisticated words, but you will have trouble if you do not know AIM talk. For me it was hard to completely connect with any of the characters because they were all older and had different lives then I do. But if I were as old as they were I think I would be more like Zoe, we both have a problem loosening up and just letting things happen. And we are too afraid of what may happen to just live life to the fullest. This book is full of things to learn, but the one thing that I learned was that no matter how far apart you are friends are friends. That no matter if you fight or disagree that your friends will always be there, and that they are your family. For me fiction is always my favorite genre. I love it because what may happen is only limited by the author's imagination. There were constantly surprises in the story that held my interest, like when madie gets caught with pot. I knew that she was using it but I never suspected that she would have gotten caught by the police. I would not advise any boys to read this or any one who does not appreciate the true meaning of friendship. This author has particularly struck my attention and I would like nothing more than to read another book from her.
