Not as rapid as I thought...... I have tried to use this program - I'm not sure about it yet. I am used to getting free templates from open source web design (oswd.org) and modifying the HTML (and PHP) and Style sheets to what colour I want and so on and uploading with an FTP program. Simple! I wanted something that would make the process easier and something more flexible than iWeb (which does not let you edit HTML - like for adding google video code etc. I thought this would be it - until I found it tricky. I found the template I wanted - but I had a choice of red or grey. I wanted blue. Can't use that template then.... I went to the rapidweaver website to see if I could get more templates - at $15 each I was a bit taken back. (oswd.org have free templates). I feel very limited in this package and I'm not sure if things are going to get any better the more I find out about what I am doing... We will see.
So - to conclude: So far it has been a limiting experience - but I am willing to be proved wrong by learning more about it. You can be sure it will be on amazon or e-bay if I cannot do what I set out to do.
What version is being offered? Is it what you want / need? Rapidweaver is indeed a fine product, and the developers are always improving. However, not all upgrades are free. IN any case, it would be wise of whoever is selling this product to indicate the version number - and for any buyer to be aware of what version they are purchasing! The latest version 4.0 requires OS 10.5, which is not yet widespread. So in this case you may be getting a version you cannot run, or a version that is not the latest. Informed buying is best!

The web site development software that does it all. RapidWeaver is the one I use. I started with iWeb - to limiting, then Dreamweaver - to complicated, finally RapidWeaver - just right. Let me start by saying in a half hour I built my first website using RapidWeaver. It was a very basic site for my family. I used the stock RapidWeaver program pages and created a very nice site that included a contact page and a photo album.
I next moved on to much more complex projects. RapidWeaver is theme based, but the only limitation is your creativity and ability. They make it very easy for you to use your developed graphic skills. The addons that are available are awesome. The community forum for support is the finest I have ever seen. I have been a Macintosh user for over 20 years, RapidWeaver is my favorite program. RapidWeaver is that good.
