Product Description: Add this figure to your Batman collection! This assortment includes 20 unique poseable basic 5.5" action figures from The Dark Knight. Each figure comes packed with cool accessories. Selection includes seven stealth figures, seven assault figures and six villains, each sold separately. Includes one 5.5" Staff Strike Batman figure.
Cheap crap Staff Strike Batman is not worth your time or money. The accessories include 2 forearm cuffs, 2 hand supports and 2 staffs. The staffs do not click into the hand supports that allow them to spin, so they immediately fall out. They click fairly well into the forearm supports, but my son found that part pretty boring. Even if you could get the staffs to stay in the hand supports, you would have to spin it yourself. So there's no way to get them going at any speed. Pretty poor design.
the 5-inch line hasn't improved much since Batman Begins why does the cape have a slit in the back? and why does one of the tips of the cape look cut off? and what are these horrible accessories? there's so many things wrong with this figure that it makes me wonder why Mattel hasn't learned from its mistakes from the Batman Begins line three years ago.
the figure's Batsuit is preety movie-accurate and the Christian Bale likeness is okay, but the positives of the figure stop there.
yes, there's a slit in the back of the cape, as if the figure had been orginally planned to have some back-mounted accessory like a jetpack or wings. there's even a hole in Batman's back, a prime spot to stick such things. did Mattel change the designs at the last minute? or did they use the exact same mold and cloth from another figure in the line? who knows? but it either means "last minute redesign" or "penny-pinching corner-cutting." considering what else is wrong with this figure, i'm leaning toward "penny-pinching corner-cutting".
and if you look at the scalloped edge of the cape, one of the scallops has been cut off! what, Mattel couldn't afford enough fabric? cheap, cheap, cheap.
and what is up with these accessories? they're horrible! the figure comes with these big wrist guards, hand grips, and these two big "blades" that can be attached to the guards and grips. when attached to the guards, they look silly and oversized. when attached to the hand grips, they look stupid as well. the blades are supposed to spin around when attached to the grips, but they only spin if you move them manually with your fingers or by whipping the whole figure around in a little circle. you're better off just throwing them out altogether.
only buy this figure if you REALLY need a 5-inch Batman figure from the movie. otherwise, pick up the Movie Masters Batman instead. at least they did a good job with that one.
