Amazon.com:
Robot Chicken's finest half hour is more savvy than Spaceballs, more inside than Family Guy: Blue Harvest, and funnier, even, than The Star Wars Holiday Special. This Very Special Episode of Comedy Central's stop-motion animated series parodies and goofs on all things Star Wars, from a disgruntled Empire janitor to an ad for Admiral Ackbar Cereal ("Your tongues can't repel flavor of that magnitude"). Twenty three minutes goes by like the jump to hyperspace with such priceless bits as the collect phone call to Emperor Palpatine from Darth Vadar to inform him of the Death Star's destruction, awkward morning-after pillow talk between Luke and Leia ("That was so wrong"), and George Bush's newfound Jedi powers. Co-creators Seth Green and Matthew Senreich and company immerse viewers in the Robot Chicken universe with generous bonus features, including storyboarded deleted scenes (with self-deprecating commentary), behind the scenes footage of animation meetings, and alternate audio takes. Good sport George Lucas, who gave his blessing to this episode, boldly goes where William Shatner went before by voicing himself in a Star Wars convention sketch that concludes with a Lucas-worshiping geek telling his son that meeting his idol was the best day of his life. What about his son's birth? "Not even close," dad replies. But you don't have to have that kind of devotion to Star Wars to be amused by this weather forecast for Cloud City: "Cloudy, followed by clouds." --Donald Liebenson.

4 out of 5 starsA light hearted and rediculously fun romp...
A VERY enjoyable collection of silly shorts by the maniacs of "Robot Chicken"... A nice addition to my "Star Wars" flicks...

1 out of 5 starsWere the comedy writers on strike?
The Force is definitely not strong with this one. Instead of a Star Wars spoof, what we get here is a mishmash collection of animated skits that make the last 10 years of Saturday Night Live seem hysterical in comparison. If this DVD were a Star Wars character, it would be Yak Face.

5 out of 5 starsStar Wars + Robot Chicken = Hilarious fun
Anyone who's watched Robot Chicken knows that creator Seth Green and his crew are big time Star Wars geeks, which makes this marriage of Star Wars and Robot Chicken all the more sensible. Robot Chicken: Star Wars is a half-hour special of shorts and skits that pay wonderful, hilarious homage to the phenomenon that is Star Wars, by poking fun at characters and memorable scenes from entire series. The visual gags and blink-and-you'll-miss-them moments are incredibly funny, and the voice talent assembled (including Green, Seth MacFarlane, Mark "Luke Skywalker" Hamil, Ahmed "Jar-Jar Binks" Best, Donald Faison, Hulk Hogan, Malcolm McDowell, Joey Fatone, Breckin Meyer, Conan O'Brien, James Van Der Beek, and even George Lucas himself in a hilarious bit) is great as well. There are some old bits from the previous two seasons of the series included here (such as President Dub-ya's lightsaber battle with Abe Lincoln) among the newly shot footage, with the only real downside of this special being that it ends. However, this DVD release is still worth picking up thanks to the assortment of extras included, which feature interviews, trailers, and discussions of how the whole thing came together. All in all, Robot Chicken: Star Wars is a sheer blast, and even if you're only a fan of one or the other, you'll surely enjoy this.

5 out of 5 starsTwo hours of extra feature plus the great original show!
I watched this DVD today and laughed as much or more as the first time I saw this show on Adult Swim. This DVD has a number of features to recommend it:
- Two hours of extra features, including deleted scenes, commentary, animation meeting, panel presentations, alternate audio and more.
- Terrific presentation of the original show. It even sounds as though the music to dialogue level has been adjusted on the "Empire On Ice" sketch so that the hilarious lyrics to the songs are much more audible and clear than they were when originally shown on TV.

At less than $10, this DVD is absolutely worth it. A great entertainment value for the price. Even the blurbs on the back of the DVD case are entertaining.

4 out of 5 starsDVD Extras
From the Adult Swim forums, the list of extras are supposed to include:

* Chicken Nuggets (Sketch by Sketch Video Commentary)
* Animation Meeting
* On-Air Bumps
* Trailers
* Behind-the-Scenes Featurette
* Deleted Scenes
* Alternate Audio
* Time Lapse Sequences
* Photo Gallery
* STAR WARS Celebration IV Convention Panel Presentation
* Production Design Featurette
* Episode Commentary - more than two hours
