In either configuration, players can perform speed-boosting tricks with a shake of the Wii Remote.
Players can race as their favorite Nintendo character, or even as themselves! Mario Kart Wii lets players race with their personalized Mii™ characters. And racers will see other Mii characters they have created cheering from the sidelines on some race courses.
Players can compete with up to three friends in their living room. Or challenge up to 11 opponents via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection in the biggest Mario Kart race yet. All tracks and modes of play are available via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, and players can visit the Mario Kart Channel to compete in tournaments, check rankings, see when their friends are playing and download ghost data.

Characters Nintendo favorites Mario™, Luigi™, Peach™, Yoshi®, Donkey Kong®, Wario™, Bowser™ and Toad™, plus a host of new faces-including your own! Get into the game and put your Mii™ character behind the wheel.
Special Powers/Weapons/Moves/Features Whether racing around an obstacle-filled track or battling in an arena, drifting and tossing items are the keys to Mario Kart success. When riding a bike, players can gain additional speed by flicking the Wii Remote up and popping a wheelie
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection: Keeping in the tradition of Mario Kart, Nintendo has pushed multiplayer racingeven further utilizing the Wii's built in Wi-Fi Connection. There are two options for races and battles over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection: up to 12 people via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection or up to 10 people via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection with two people playing locally.
The Folly of Mario Kart Why did I rate this game as an overall 3 stars, yet give it 5 for fun?! It's because of a huge tragic flaw with the game, that turned what was a totally amazing game, into something you want to break after you get into it. The reason being... Hackers.
People who use cheats to have a total advantage against others for wifi playing are the ultimate low. You can't ignore them because it's so obvious they're cheating. They'll continuously throw blue shells at you, big you, or special you. It's annoying and because wifi has a point system it makes the game VERY unfair.
Besides that huge flaw, that ruins what I believe is the best part of the game, Mario Kart is endless fun. The graphics are amazing compared to the Nintendo 64, Gamecube, and especially the DS versions. I'm a huge Mario Kart fan, and this game is amazing.
NOTE: I wouldn't suggest using the wheel because it's just a handicap.

SOOO Much Fun Everyone in the family loves this game. It has different levels so even my youngest (age 6) can have a blast.
The graphics are very good, color is bright, choices for characters are fun, sound is adjustable.
We like using the wheel with the remote for better handling.
This is a great game for both young and old, boy or girl.
Mario Kart Wii makes it worth it with free online play Unlike some consoles where you have to shell up a monthly fee to play online, *Coughxboxlivecough*, Nintendo offers free online play which makes it worth it. You will make all your friends buy this, and meet up online for crazy games with mushrooms, and bombshells, and what not.
At $45, this was worth every penny. Check out merit line for spare wheels if you need them. It could be cheaper, but I'm guessing Nintendo is bankrolling their server infrastructure with the profits fro
Bought for grandchild for birthday My 6 year old grand son loved this....he plays it with his friends, his parents and his cousins.
Fun for all ages We bought this game for my husband and I and the kids (age 4 and 5). All of us have a blast. We love racing against each other and trying to get new levels unlocked. It is very user friendly and easy for even my 4 year to use. The wheel is surprisingly sensitive and just adds to all the fun. A must for some good family fun.
