4 out of 5 starsGood buy overall
Obviously I bought this system because it plays both NES and SNES games. It does that easily with a flip of a switch, so it functions as described.

One downside is that the NES slot is actually a little too wide for the games, so it fits incredibly loosely. This causes it to be super sensitive to any kind of movement during play. If you move the system slightly, whether on purpose or on accident (as was the case for me), the game freezes up and you get a blank screen. Since the remote control cords are pretty short, it's pretty easy to accidentally move the system just by sitting too far back from the screen. But since the control plugs are fit for any SNES product, that's easily fixed.

On the other hand, since the plugs are fit for SNES and not NES, classic games like Duck Hunt are apparently not playable on this system.

Also, the body materials seem to be pretty cheap and lightweight, but I didn't expect a whole lot based on the price. Like I said, I bought it so I could play both my NES and SNES games on one system, and it does that just fine. My brother recently came to visit, and we had a blast playing all the games we used to play together as kids.

Overall, this is a great buy for the price. It's a great idea and so much fun!

4 out of 5 starssolid sytem as good or better then both original systems
plays games from both snes and nes at virtually the same experience as the original systems. the nes side the sound can be a bit off, but if leave the red or white audio cord unplugged seems to play about the same as the original system

Being a new system most of the games will play without having to blow in them, which is something that my nes was starting to have problems with, it could take minutes of resetting/blowing in games before would work.

the controllers are solid, but a bit short and not quite as good as the original snes ones.

if the system was able to play castlevania 3 it would have been 5 stars, but other then that game havnt had compatibility issues, and the other games that have been reported not to work with it are pretty bad.

3 out of 5 starsGame console
This game console plays both the 8-bit Nintendo games as well as the 16-bit SNES games. It is so convienent. I dont have to have two seperate gaming consoles with extra cords and extra space on my TV stand for storing both decks. I have used both the 8-bit and 16-bit slots in the decks. It played the games exactly like the original decks. The one big downer about it is that i cant pause any games. If i have a game paused for over 5 minutes, when i get back to it, it is frozen or the graphics are way off making game play impossible. I have had to start over many games because of this problem. I remembered this after a few times and didnt pause anymore. And the deck is very unstable. The slightest bump can cause the game to quit. Once i learned all the glitches i learned to avoid them. I still prefer this deck over having to have both nintendo decks. The price was right for this game to. I payed less for this deck than i would have for just one of the nintendo decks. If you have the money and the room i would recommend buying the original nintendo decks. But if your like me and dont have much money this deck is a much cheaper alternative.

5 out of 5 starstwin system plays nes and snes games
Works great!! I love it; I finally get to play all those games I played as a kid. I only wish the controller wires were longer but other than that it works wonderfully.

4 out of 5 starsfc twin system for nintendo and super nintendo games
My son has had a lot of fun with this system. The whole family has enjoyed playing some of the old games that we had forgotten about.
