Wish there were more games like this. This game is soooo much fun. I play it every chance I get. I wish there were more games like this.
Build mode is a little difficult with the Wiimote. I can never get things where I want them. Would be easier with a mouse & arrow keys, I would imagine.
great game I bought this for myself to play on Wii but my daughter took over...very fun to play and watch.
A must for every Sims lover I am use to playing The Sims 2 on the PC and when I got the wii as a gift I couldn't wait to play the Sims on it. I have not been disappointed. You have control over one play and it is up to you to collect supplies from the island to make shelters, to clothing to rafts. Each area gives you goals to meet and complete. I haven't had time to complete playing it as much as I would like and I find that it can be addictive once started. So I really need to make sure I have a lot of time to play. I have only just started down the video console route and so I am use to playing with a computer mouse and that is all, however I have found the controls very easy to master and have really enjoyed the challenges. I would recommend this to anyone who has loved the Sims or any other type of Sim game.
Fun, but requires concentration! I really like this game, but to play it, you have to be committed. Just when you think you have a good handle on everything, the game throws a spanner in the works. It has the typical Sims style with a cool 'Lost on a desert island' theme. If you like Sims, your going to like this one!
A Wonderful Sims Game As a long time fan of the sims series both on PC and Console, i must say that in my option The Sims 2 Castaway is the best of the console sims games. This game is similar to the other sims games in that you need to keep your sims needs up and make sure that they eat, sleep etc. however the great thing about this game is that it is so different from the other sims games both on the PC and Console. There is so much to do in this game that time flies. You could play this game for over 3 hours and not even realize it. One of the great things about this game is that your not stuck in a house going to work all the time. Instead your sim in on a island exploring, trying to find food, and build shelter. There is so much to do in this game and tons of items to collect (well resources). Even though I've done a lot in this game there is still a ton of other stuff that i haven't even tried yet. As with all the sims console games you have goals however the goals in Castaway are optional. As the game goes along you can unlock more stuff and discover more things. I give this game a 9.5/10.
