A gem... This book was adorable! A rare find - I picked it up at a secondhand clothes store. I loved the illustrations by Schultz, and the things that Linkletter got the children to talk about were priceless. Sure it is a little dated, but children's innocence and candor are timeless.
A Fun Book for the boy who doesn't like to read. I found a used copy of the Kids Still Say the Darndest Things and my son picked it up. He keeps telling me that he doesn't like to read. He read this book in one day, and asked me to order the one that preceded it, so I ordered KIDS SAY THE DARDEST THINGS,and he read that one in a day as well!!. It's not exactly a classic novel, but as long as he is enjoying reading, I think it will lead him to pick up other things that interest him. I would recommend this book to anyone, as there are many very humorous things that children said to Art Linkletter, and in some ways, a lot of that innocence in children is not so much there these days. It's a great family book to have around.
