GyroTools software gives you greater control over your digital media, and presentations.
half right I have been able to use the disk portion of the apparatus but can not convince the mouse portion to talk with the disk portion. So, I have effectively a disk for memory, but need a second item to control slide presentations.
A solid, plug and play air mouse I bought this primarily to use with presentations and powerpoint. I like to walk around during a presentation and didn't want to be "tied down" to my laptop everytime i wanted to advance a slide. The device is actually quite small (doesn't necessarily look that way in Amazon pic), but fits nicely into your hand. Also, the USB plug in fits on the underbelly of the device which is very convenient. I use Windows XP and this device really is a no hassle, plug and play device. No other drivers or software is needed so you can bring this device to do presentations on other people's computers without any drama.
For those of you not familiar with the airmouse, it basically allows you to use all the standard functionality of a normal mouse, except you do it "in the air." It takes a while to get used to the motions and buttons, but play around with it for about 10 minutes and you'll get the basic hang of it. I was pleasantly surprised that the mouse is completely programmable, and that you can map up to 80 functions to the buttons on the mouse. For example, you can set functions like zoom, toggle, play, rewind, etc. Also, the range on the device is impressive, about 100 feet.
One drawback is that you have to have a pretty steady hand in certain circumstances for double clicking or closing applications. But I suspect I will get better at using it with time. I got the device on sale at Amazon for $60 which I believe is a great value. Much above $100 and it becomes a less compelling value (unless you do a lot of presentations).
Great product!!! Fun and easy!!! Great for presentations and Media viewing Im very impressed with this little device. I was a bit skeptically about the functionality of it and didnt understand the concept. But I got it plugged the USB reciever in and away I went. It is very easy to control and is especially awesome for my laptop when I have nowhere to set a regular mouse. Great idea and a great produuct as well. I advise to try one out!!!!
